This African Grey had a pretty significant scissor beak, and we were able to go out and provide a much-needed grooming for this client. The transformation was amazing, but because of the severity of the beak deformity, ongoing maintenance grooming will be necessary to keep this bird comfortable and healthy.

I wanted to give everyone an update on one of our most successful adoptions, Casey the Hyacinth Macaw.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Casey in her new home and see how she's doing with her new family. I'm thrilled to report that Casey is doing absolutely wonderful and has formed a beautiful bond with her new mom, Lisa.

The home was immaculate, and Casey's setup was truly impressive. She has a large indoor cage and play area, as well as a stunning outdoor aviary. The entire backyard felt like a tropical paradise — a perfect environment for such a magnificent bird.

Days like today remind me why we do this work. It is incredibly rewarding to see a bird not only find a safe and loving home, but also make such a meaningful impact on the life of her new family.

Please SHARE this Green-Wing Macaw Beak Transformation! 🦜

This beautiful Green-Wing Macaw came in with several beak issues that needed attention. The upper and lower beak had developed a significant gap, causing the lower beak to overgrow and require careful trimming. The beak was also excessively long and had a buildup of dry, flaky material that needed to be professionally buffed and smoothed.
After a thorough beak trim and conditioning, we finished the grooming by applying a light coat of organic coconut oil to help moisturize the beak and bring back a healthy shine. The difference is incredible!
Regular beak maintenance is an important part of keeping your parrot comfortable, healthy, and looking its best.
