My name is Carl and some people think I am ugly. Other people call me scary. But I don’t know why because I love everybody, even kittens, and other dogs and especially people. I am missing my daddy who became very sick and told me he was going away, and would probably not come back. I am trying to be brave, but I am very very sad. I have my best friend, Mewsette the kitten with me to make me feel better. Please don’t think I am ugly or scary. I promise I will love you with all my heart.

Waldo is such a unique looking pooch! He is a mix between a Doberman and a fox terrier! Waldo is six years old, housebroken and family friendly but no cats, please! He does do well with dogs with proper introduction!

Sweet Toby is an American bulldog with very pretty polkadots all over him. Toby is deaf but can be trained with hand signals! He is a fun, loving and gentle boy, and absolutely loves life! Toby a family who will love how special he is! No cats please.

Dear, sweet Kelpie has been diagnosed with cancer. She is looking for a hospice foster where she can be spoiled, loved, and cross off her bucket list. While this is a hard assignment, it is also very special to be able to give Kelpie a place of honor during her last days.

Eight month old Dixie is a female Labradoodle who was surrendered after her caretaker had a family emergency and needed to return to work, leaving little time for her. This curly girl loves everybody and is full of energy… and that’s not whistling Dixie!

Beautiful Dotty was rescued from the streets and was lucky enough to land in a foster home where she thrived living with another dog. Dotty turns two in November. She is very sweet and loves people and other dogs. Dotty really wants a family to call her own now!

Sweet Jenny is a senior pit mix girl, on the smaller side, who came to the shelter when her owner became seriously ill. She is frightened and confused and wondering what happened, but will no doubt blossom, and feel secure again when she finds a new family!

In a hospice foster
It’s hard enough to be a pitbull in an animal shelter, but when you’re a senior girl, it’s doubly tough to get adopted! Still, Kelpie is going to put on her best smile and tail wagging. I hope that there’s somebody who would love to have a senior girl out there! Kelpie is very, very quiet, great with dogs and cats, and loves to cuddle, cuddle, cuddle!

Scooter and Skipper are having fun with their Chewbaru, a toy Subaru, complete with a Squeker! Serra Subaru is giving chewbarus to anybody who donates between now and October 31 to their stuff a Subaru car in the lobby! The goal is to stuff it was goodies for the Great Lakes Humane Society! Also, anybody adopting in the month of October gets a Subaru gift packet, complete with their own Chewbaru inside!!

Adopted Brody is still looking for his forever home and is just an all around great dog! He is a little over a year old and a lab/boxer mix and oh so sweet! This guy is fun and outgoing and dog friendly. Brody would do best n a quiet household and may be best with a single adult. He has not been cat tested. Will he be your new BFF?

Hank, the little pitbull puppy was adopted from us a few months ago. He is now a big boy and still loves his chow, but his mommy had to buy a slow feeder because he was gulping his dinner!
This is Gracie (formally Sarah). We adopted her in July and she had spent her whole life in shelters with her sisters. She LOVES playing in her yard with a frisbee or ball! This is the best dog we have ever had and she loves every new experience!

Dondi, Dolly, and Dexter are three beautiful souls who are cruelty cases. They are so lucky to have arrived at Great Lakes where they will be smothered with love and attention while their perfect forever families are found.
Look at darling Mickey playing at Great Lakes Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes park! This boy was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas and seems to be living the good life! So lucky!!

We adopted this energetic pup last year on Halloween. Pumpkin has a ton of puppy in her! She’s been a delightful ball of energy. Her favorite skill is climbing fences though. We love her tons!

I'm asking for some help. My sister has been trying to meet Catnip. There has been a lot of unanswered calls, emails etc. miscommunication. She has had dogs her entire life and is VERY interested in Catnip. I would appreciate any help in setting up this meeting or if she has been adopted that information made known. I feel bad knowing this sweet face needs a home and Lori wants her so bad. Thank you so much!
We learned this weekend that Bailey is a darn fine camping dog. We continue to feel blessed to have him. 🙂

He had a black collar on with the brand name Top Paw on it. Also has his tags on he is chipped and neutered this is his flyer you can print or share it. Thank you!! STILL MISSING!!! Abraxas-fixed male, he comes to stinky. Had red collar on with bell when went missing.
He was approximately 3yrs now he would be 5yrs.
Ember-fixed female, was 6yrs old now she would be 8yrs. They both went missing 14mile rd middle branch township mi. My contact number is 9893135221. If anyone has these two cats I’d be willing to pay back the money you’ve put into them. Please we miss them dearly.

🐾REIKI is a very lucky sato. He was able to travel all the way to Michigan this past week thanks again to our generous and kind supporters Cindy & Jerry for escorting Reiki.
This was a long journey with conexión but with the travel case they provide Reiki couldn’t be more comfortable- it was like his own liter F/C condo. They did have a misconextion and
Had to take shelter at a local hotel for the night. Finding a pet Friendly hotel was a challenge. In the end they all made it safe.
Reiki is now in his furever home with the help of our friends Great Lakes Humane Society

Just to let you know Fawn is doing great had to have some teeth pulled and put on medication for her legs but she is feeling right at home she figured out how to get to dishes in the dishwasher
