Finder is looking for rescue help for a found cat. Cat is in need of immediate vet care. Some transport help is available. Cat is probably around a year old and is friendly.

This big goof is going in on the 15th to have a scope done to look at his throat to see if his hacking is from Laryngeal Paralysis or something else going on in his throat. 🐈‍⬛❤️

If the throat looks good, they will do X-rays of his chest. He doesn’t really have the symptoms of Laryngeal Paralysis. Sometimes he has raspy breathing, like he has phlegm in his throat. But he doesn’t have heat or exercise intolerance, doesn’t choke on food or water.

He will randomly start hacking real hard, and it’s always while he’s lying down. Part of me wonders if he’s having some acid reflux and that’s what triggers the hard hacking.

I think if everything comes back clear on the 15th, I’m gonna see what the vet thinks about acid reflux and if they think a trial of acid reflux medication would be a reasonable next step instead of immediately jumping to more invasive and expensive tests.

Tito was adopted 6 years ago and we received a call today that his owner had passed away, and Tito was found in the home several days later, having endured without food or water, and we are heartbroken for both Tito and the family. Yet, Tito is resilient, drinking water non stop, though his voice is hoarse from barking, a testament to his longing for help. Man’s best friend indeed. May the family find solace in prayers and may Tito feel the warmth of extra loving care as he navigates this new chapter.
