Hey I’m still here! What a normal video to be posting, how many times have you tacked up a horse? ( can’t answer that? Yea me either) Miss Tina ( alter ego) here has been quite the nervous Nelly, and had no ambition to be my “partner”. She was NEVER mean about it but preferred you to be 10-ft away with your limbs still and never reaching to caress her beautiful hide. However I did spend my first week with her covering ground, going through water, leading trail rides, best trail horse at cow camp! ( mounting and dismounting were sketchy😬) But when we arrived back at home, she decided being a riding horse wasn’t really her thing, and preferred 10ft away. So I didn’t ride her…… we spent countless hours brushing her tail ( insecurity but I think it’s actually pretty nice) standing ( I never secretly try to cut a piece of her hide off) Walking ( I actually don’t try to trip her) quiet slow ground work is Finally paying off. She did everything perfect, but scared 💩 less. Pasture halter is off ( pray I can catch her, but Dalton wouldn’t mind the roping practice) I get so used to quiet dull horses, This sensitive one reminds me that I’m still here for the horse, the partnership and reminded constantly that every horse is different. Which I think is my favorite part to horses. So Miss ATHENA ( real name) here, stands quietly brushed, bug spray, Tail brushed, tacked up, cross ties, feet picked, walks to you to be caught-sometimes , w,t,l under saddle, easy to mount and dismount. All normal things, but I watched this one blow up randomly, and she grew my respect….. we took things at her pace, and I thanked her for being in my presence.
