🐾 TWO YEARS. TWO LONG YEARS. WHEN WILL IT BE BILLY'S TURN? 🥺❤️

Billy is one of our longest residents and has been waiting over TWO YEARS for someone to choose her. Could that someone be YOU?

This easygoing girl has a hilarious personality, but if she had it her way, her perfect day would consist of snuggling on the couch with her favorite human and collecting all the belly rubs she can get. ❤️

Billy does have some specific needs when it comes to her forever home. Due to her high prey drive, she cannot live with cats or small animals. She would also do best as your one-and-only dog. After previously being mauled by a pack of dogs, Billy is uncomfortable when other dogs enter her personal space. She can, however, comfortably walk past other dogs.

The good news? This girl is potty trained, non-destructive, and ready to settle into a home of her own!

How could no one want to foster this sweet girl!?

Nina has been in boarding for over a month. She is a lovely dog that just needs a quieter house to relax in. When walking Nina does beautifully on leash, she is non-reactive to dogs or people around her and she loves playing with toys and getting head pets.

Nina is a 7 year old husky/German shepherd mix that needs a calm home without kids. She is loyal to her people but needs her own space to settle and feel safe. Nina did fine with male dogs at her evaluation and preferred to do her own thing but she is not recommended to live with cats.

Can anyone help Bernard!!

Bernard is a 10 year old pit bill mix who needs hospice placement. This poor boy is covered in tumors and is extremely emaciated. He is thin and is not doing well in a shelter environment. Even with his medical condition, he is a sweet and friendly boy. He approaches people for pets and attention and likes their company.

Bernard was dog tested with both a female dog and a neutered male dog and did very well with both (Have video). During his time outside, he spent much of it exploring the yard and sniffing his surroundings.

Bernard deserves a comfortable, loving place where he can enjoy his time and receive the care and compassion he needs. We are hoping to find him a hospice placement that can offer him comfort, kindness, and dignity during this stage of his life.

Adoption Event this weekend!

We will be at Modesto Junior College West Campus for the Out of the Darkness Community Walk. We will have adoptable kittens, dogs, and cats that you can stop by and say hi to and maybe even bring home a new family member.

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR MIKA AND TUCKER!!

Mika and Tucker are looking for a new foster due to no fault of their own. They can be fostered together or seperate.

Mika is a 1 year old lab/husky mix. She loves water and playing. She is timid around men and they scare her but with a proper introduction she can be fine. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and chipped.

Tucker is a 1 year opld German Shepherd mix. This big boy is still learning his doggie manners but loves his walks and play sessions. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and chipped.

Both dogs are dog, cat, and kid friendly!

🐾 Meet Batcat! 🐾

Batcat is a fearless little adventurer with a heart full of love. This playful kitten loves climbing on anything and everything, hiding under the couch to surprise his favorite humans, and following you around just to see what you're up to. While he may be small, his personality is larger than life!

Batcat gets along well with both dogs and other cats. He hasn't had the opportunity to meet children yet, but based on his sweet and gentle nature, we believe he would likely do well with them.

Batcat does have a heart murmur that is being monitored by a cardiologist. He currently takes medication and may go on to live a long, normal life, though it's also possible that his condition could progress over time. To help ensure Batcat's future success, Better World Rescue is committed to continuing assistance with his cardiology exams and heart medication after adoption as needed.

Batcat is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to find a family of his own.

💔 BLIZZARD'S TIME IS RUNNING OUT. 💔

Meet Blizzard, a sweet 3-year-old Husky boy whose life is on the line due to overcrowding at Oakdale Animal Shelter. He could be euthanized at ANY TIME. 😭

🐾 Here's what makes Blizzard special:

🐕 Does well with other dogs with slow, proper introductions.
