WYATT had his big day at The Pet Advocate yesterday and is officially looking for his forever family! He is an 8 month old standard long hair. 🥰

He does well with older kids (fostered with the 8 and 10 yr old). While he does enjoy playing, he tends to cause dog fights in pack settings. We think he would be great as an only dog or with a no nonsense female.

He was on his best behavior when he saw Dr. Mike yesterday. Luckily, we had so many dogs on the schedule, many volunteers came together and Wyatt was able to move to his new foster in Los Altos without extra drivers. 🩷

A little late, but Margarita had her big day week before last. Special shout out to Dr. Mike, his summer assistant Reid and his whole team at The Pet Advocate in Tracy, Ca! Everyone loved on Margarita and she was happy to get all the attention a dachshund puppy tends to get when out and about. 📸

We are able to say “yes!” to so many more dogs when we know spays and neuters are so affordable and appointments are readily available. It is so important to get our dachshunds into their forever homes and that can only happen once they are medically ready. The Pet Advocate gives “the works,” AKA vaccines, microchips and nail trims while the dogs are under sedation. 💅 🐕 😴

Whether we are taking in confiscated breeder dachshunds or owner surrenders, we know we can normally get them fixed within a week. Lucky for us, Tracy is an easy meeting spot for our volunteer network. 🥳 AND we had a wonderful new volunteer (Sharon) volunteer to transport Margarita to her new foster home in Los Altos.

It is so important to spay and neuter your animals. Thank you to everyone who follows us and supports the “adopt, don’t shop” mantra and the volunteers who make this all possible. 🩷
