🎄✨ Merry Christmas from Dr. Moon! 🎅🐮

Well, it’s been a long night for me—between delivering calves and giving Santa a helping hand! I found Santa a bit stuck in the chimney; I guess the wood-burning stove pipe was a little too tight! Thankfully, I was up and ready to lend a hand with my handy dandy calf puller!

Despite the tired eyes, my heart is full of joy this holiday season. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas filled with warmth, love, and the magic of new beginnings!

Dr. Moon had the great opportunity to meet with some incredible FFA students today!

Their team is competing in the Ag Issues contest, where they research, present, and debate important agricultural topics.

This year, they tackled the question: “Should antibiotic regulations be reduced for smaller farms?” Their presentation highlighted GFI #263, which now requires a veterinarian’s prescription for antibiotics.

Dr. Moon was truly impressed by their knowledge and the confidence they displayed. It was a fantastic discussion, and we wish them all the best in the competition! Keep up the outstanding work! 💊 💉🐄🐐🐑🙌

Meet this silly little calf—thought it was fashion-forward with a shiny metal ring on its foot! 🐮✨ Turns out, calves don’t wear bracelets after all. Luckily, Dr. Moon was here to carefully remove the ring and make sure our little friend was comfortable again. No more shiny accessories, just happy and healthy calves! 😊

Halloween can be fun for everyone, but it's also important to keep your furry friends safe! Here are some tips to ensure your pets stay happy and healthy this spooky season:

1. Keep Candy Out of Reach: Chocolate, gum, and candy with artificial sweeteners like xylitol are toxic to pets. Store treats safely away from paws and noses.

2. Secure Costumes: If your pet wears a costume, make sure it fits well and doesn’t cause discomfort or restrict movement, breathing, or vision.

3. Watch Out for Decorations: Keep cords, candles, and decorations out of reach to prevent chewing or accidents.

4. Identify Your Pet: Make sure your pet has up-to-date ID tags and consider microchipping in case of escape.

5. Keep Pets Indoors: To prevent pets from running away or encountering scary door-to-door visitors, keep them inside during trick-or-treating hours.
