☀️🐾 Summer temperatures are rising, and it’s important to remember that our pets can overheat much faster than we do. Heat exhaustion and heatstroke can become life-threatening very quickly — even during short periods outside.
Signs of overheating may include:
❗ Excessive panting
❗ Drooling
❗ Weakness or lethargy
❗ Vomiting or diarrhea
❗ Bright red gums or collapse
If you think your pet may be overheating, move them to a cool area immediately and contact your veterinarian right away.
Let’s work together to keep our furry family members safe, cool, and comfortable all summer long! ❤️🐶🐱
As we soak up those sunny island days and ocean breezes, don’t forget to keep an eye on your furry friends! The Florida Keys heat can sneak up quickly, so make sure they’re staying cool, hydrated, and safe all summer long.
💧 Always have fresh water available
🏖️ Limit outdoor time during peak heat
🌴 Seek shade (or AC breaks!) often
🐾 Watch for signs of overheating
Whether you’re out on the boat, at the beach, or just enjoying the backyard, a little extra care goes a long way in keeping your pets happy and healthy.
