Established in 1974, SafeHaven Humane Society is a non-profit, privately funded, limited admission shelter, that does not use euthanasia for population control. Mission Statement

We help our communities' residents be the best "humane" beings they can be by providing: Compassionate temporary shelter care; healthy adoptable animals; information, understanding and education; spay and neuter programs

SafeHaven Humane Society is a privately funded non-profit that receives no government funding. Support from the community and donations from people like you help to keep our doors open to the over 2,500 animals that we take in and adopt out each year. Programs Offered

SafeHaven offers, but is not limited to, the following programs: Dog and cat adoptions, Humane Education, Cats Count (a low cost spay/neuter program for cats available to qualifying Linn County residents), volunteer opportunities and Behavioral Training classes. Looking for Forever Homes! 🐾

These five adorable pups were found as strays and brought to Linn County Animal Control—but sadly, their owners never came for them. After their hold period, they came to us for a second chance at finding love.

Now they’re ready for forever homes:

🐶 Noodles – 1 year old, female, Shepherd mix
🧼 Scruffy – 2 year old, male, Larger Terrier mix
💜 Sylvete – 4 year old, female, Pit mix
🌸 Trixie – 1 year old, female, Pit mix
⚡ Willie – 1.5 year old, male, Border Collie mix

All five are looking for loving families and a place to call home. Could one of them be your new best friend?

We wanted to take a moment to say a great big THANK YOU to Jackson’s Food Stores and Willamette Dental Group for dedicating their time this last weekend to benefit the animals at SafeHaven! 🐾

Our session with Jacksons was spent deep cleaning the Cat Floor and creating dog enrichment toys while Willamette Dental tackled our Pet Food Bank, re-bagging and organizing hundreds of pounds of food for our community in need!

We are so very grateful to these amazing teams for all of their hard work and we’re so glad they were able to enjoy some well-earned snuggles from our adoptable buddies, as well! 💗

Handsome, Senior Milo found his forever home back in March and he is the life of the party in his forever home!

Soon after adoption Milo's family learned that he is obsessed with water. His new sister Missy found his love for water strange but after watching the fun he was having she decided to give it a shot.

Milo and Missy are two water loving dogs looking forward to a few more weeks of nice weather and water sports before the cooler days set in!

Happy Tail Update!

This sweet girl found her forever home on June 9th!

Dani—formerly known as Sadie Knox—was quiet and reserved during her time at the shelter, but her new family says that was all an act! Now that she has a home of her own, Dani’s true personality is shining through.

Her family describes her as insanely smart, playful, and goofy. She loves meeting new friends, sniffing out new adventures, and chasing her tail at record-breaking speeds. Dani has already mastered over a dozen tricks and cues, keeping everyone on their toes and laughing daily.

We’re so thrilled we could be part of Dani’s journey and help her find a family that truly adores her. Here’s to a lifetime of joy, belly rubs, and zoomies! 💛
