Once in your life a dog will come along that is just so special that you can’t imagine your life without them. A dog that you love so completely that even you are a bit surprised because although you have loved dogs you owned in the past and you’ll love the dogs you own in the future it will never be quite the same as the love you have for this dog. A dog that is so in tune with you, a dog that learns phrases you use without you ever teaching them the phrases. A dog that instinctively knows your emotions, the dog that will spend all day in bed when you are sick or depressed, the dog that when off leash will only go so far and then wait for you to catch up to them. This dog might be far from perfect but they are perfect in your eyes. The thought that you will outlive them is unbearable and this is the dog that you will bring tears to your eyes years after they have passed. This is the dog that is supposed to be the family dog but even the family members refer to the dog as your dog. I am lucky enough to have found that dog and I hope that everyone who reads this either has had this dog, has this dog, or will one day find this dog. You will without a doubt know when you do.

I’ve trained them to run each other’s tummies, with 3 dogs I had to think of something. 😂
