I wish that was Washington State. I'm still a puppy (kind of) and I don't mind them too much, but my older brother and sister and the cat get very scared.

Fireworks may light up the sky, but for animals, they can turn a peaceful night into a terrifying experience. 💔🐾

While people celebrate, many dogs tremble in fear, cats hide in dark corners, and frightened pets may run away in search of safety. Some families spend hours desperately searching for their missing companions, hoping they return home unharmed.

Wildlife suffers, too. Loud explosions can frighten birds from their resting places and send other animals fleeing into dangerous areas. Fireworks also produce smoke and debris that can harm the environment animals depend on.

Massachusetts has strict restrictions on consumer fireworks, helping protect people, pets, and wildlife from the dangers of unauthorized fireworks use. Licensed and permitted public displays may still take place under applicable rules.

Celebration should never mean unnecessary fear and suffering for animals. ❤️

We can enjoy holidays and special occasions without filling the night with deafening explosions. Beautiful light displays, peaceful community events, and quieter celebrations can create wonderful memories without causing the same level of distress.

Animals may not understand why the sky suddenly erupts with noise, but their fear is real. They deserve to feel safe in their homes and in the wild.

A little compassion can make every celebration kinder. 🐶🐱🦉

Gotcha day!!! Can you believe it was a year ago today my first papa Matt brought me to my new momma and papa at 5 o’clock in the morning in Memphis. Then we went to fly on an airplane All the way across this big country to Seattle. There I met my new brother and sister and the cats and chickens. I’m so happy. I’m a happy boy!

Yesterday I got two awards at Zoom Room school. One for loose leash walking and one for focus while walking near other dogs. I like school.
