Because balanced training isn’t a monolith.

oh heyyyyyy 👋 long time no see!

i’m back from europe and ready to party! cleo and appa have already arrived, and cosmo comes through from portland next week.

cleo and appa both share the same very serious behavioral diagnosis… known clinically as “corgi”.

as a fierce defender and lover of perfectly bad herding breeds, teaching these loudly opinionated creatures where their limits lie on appropriate behavior and also that using their ears can be FUN will truly be an excellent welcome home.

see you on november 14th for client appreciation night!

best feedback that I can get is “we knew exactly who you were and what you would be like based on your social media presence” and like… yeah. no BS, no drama, no optics… just making difficult dogs better and a little commitment to the bit as needed. that’s what it’s all about.

The ability to do nothing and give as little input as possible to encourage problem-solving in the dog is the hardest skill for my clients to learn, and was the skill that took me the longest to confidently implement in my work. What I accomplished with ten minutes of neutrality and patience will create new neutral pathways MUCH stronger than if I had given her the answers.

Have a goal behavior but be open to how you get there. Sometimes less is more!

Clients! Heads up! I will be out of the country June 12th to July 15th, so there will be no boarding available.

Until then, enjoy these sweet pics of Charlie girl. We’re off to a great start.

happy earth day, come on a training hike with coyote girl!
the countless reps of reliable recall, leash skills, obedience, and relationship building we’ve put into her could not fit in this video, but I think this is a fun way to share more of what your dogs get to experience when they train with to the point dog training.

yota has come so far since our program and her family is itching for more! .beauty asked if i could do some trail work during her boarding stay and how could i say no! this is easily the best part of my job. 🙂

come with us to bark in the park to cheer on the !!

we had so much fun. definitely some room for improvement when it comes to behavior expectations of dogs in attendance but all in all, we had a very pleasant time!

thanks for this kickass bit of feedback, kelsey! big man hank has truly become a part of the family and diva girl waffles is a forever favorite.

being responsive, informative, transparent and thorough are at the helm of every operation here. making sure the human end of the leash knows their dog is being cared for and seen as more than just a job, but as a loved one, is so crucial! it is such an honor and privilege to train multiple dogs from one home, knowing that they are living with my work day to day and are pleased with the results.

stay tuned for waffles’ next adventure with me on monday. go mariners! 😉
