Needed an oil change and my dealership is dog friendly so as a busy dog mom we multi task 💜🐾🩵
Started in the parking lot working leash manners, giving her exercise, and a chance to potty.
Moved into the lobby for a few minutes of settling and public exposure practice.
When my car was done, the service tech wanted to pet her so we practiced a polite greeting and headed home for a post training nap!

Very happy with our new vet’s office 💜 They recommend adding annual blood work to better understand our pets normal baseline (more specifically than just the species “normal range”) so we can catch any issues sooner rather than later when other symptoms arise. As someone with a medical background this made total sense to me, we do it for people in our annual check ups.

Unfortunately, some of Calliopes test results were not even in the “normal range” for dogs so we did further testing and found she has been dealing with high blood pressure putting extra stress on other organs and doing damage … luckily we due to this precautionary blood we did we were able to find this issue before I saw any symptoms (and I am a very involved and observant pet parent) 💜 she will now be getting treatment to ensure best comfort and longevity possible for my sweet old girl.

Also shout out to my girls cooperative care training to allow her to under go all testing with the least stress possible 💜🐾
