Very glad this guy won’t be my client. Sounds like he wasn’t raised right. 😐

Treat us with respect, and you’ll always be treated with respect and kindness in return.

We’ve had multiple people go off on us lately, and honestly, it’s strange.

We clearly explain how long the groom will take, the cost, and that additional charges will apply for behavioral issues or coat conditions.

Everything about the grooming process and fees are explained on my website, and we're constantly communicating to make sure everyone feels seen, heard, and happy.

Sooo… there’s really no need for all of the negativity. 😆

🌈 Shy dogs don't need to be rushed—they need patience, kindness, and the opportunity to feel safe.

While I groom, my puppy is learning calm placement, patience, and relaxation. These early lessons help build confidence, emotional regulation, and trust for a lifetime.

Many of my behaviorally challenged grooming dogs arrive fearful, trembling, shut down, or overwhelmed.

Alongside gentle handling, I incorporate Reiki to help create a calmer, more peaceful environment.

When a dog feels safe enough to soften their eyes, relax their body, take a deep breath, or simply rest for a moment, that is meaningful progress.

Every dog deserves to be seen, heard, and respected. Trust isn't forced—it is earned, one gentle session at a time.

The only thing I care about today and tonight is the safety and well-being of our pets.

✔ Check all gates, fences, doors, and windows. ✔ Give prescribed anxiety/sedation medication now before fireworks begin.
✔ Make sure ID tags information are current.
✔ If no tags, wrap a peice of tape around collar and write all information.
✔ Keep pets indoors and only outside on a leash with supervision.
✔ Create a quiet safe room with white noise or calming music.
✔ Use crates for crate-trained pets people are coming over to party.

A few minutes of preparation can prevent a tragedy.

Working with dogs who bite isn’t about control—it’s about understanding what they’re trying to say when they feel unsafe, overstimulated, or misunderstood.

This dog in the video had already been kicked out of another groomer for biting, but in my salon we slow everything down. No rushing, no forcing, no punishment—just structure, patience, and reading every signal they give.

Biting dogs aren’t “bad dogs.” They’re dogs who have learned that fear is louder than trust. My job is to change that experience so grooming doesn’t have to feel like a fight anymore.

It takes time, consistency, and respect for their boundaries—but even the hardest cases can learn that grooming can feel safe.

Frozen treats and lick mats are a wonderful way to provide mental enrichment for both puppies and adult dogs. While physical exercise is important, mental stimulation helps keep your dog's mind active, engaged, and satisfied.

Spending time licking, sniffing, and working to get food from a frozen treat can help reduce boredom and provide a healthy outlet for natural behaviors.
Licking is also a naturally calming activity for many dogs.

The repetitive motion can help them relax, making frozen treats and lick mats a great option during crate time, after play sessions, during grooming, or whenever your dog needs a quiet activity.

They can be especially helpful for energetic puppies who are learning how to settle and entertain themselves appropriately.

You can make frozen enrichment treats using wet dog food, plain pumpkin, plain Greek yogurt, mashed fruits, or other dog-safe ingredients.

Posting my story here so that my clients know about this amazing bittersweet service. I just put my almost 13 year old beloved Golden Retriever to rest yesterday...

I will use no one else but The Good Life At-Home Euthanasia. I have been referring this company for years, but I hadn't personally used them until now.

After my experience with Daisy, I can say with 100% certainty that this service is the best option when it comes to the dreaded end-of-life decision for our beloved pets.

The veterinarian we had, Mia, was incredibly respectful of my feelings, my home, and most importantly, Daisy. Gentle and quiet, she walked both Daisy and me through the entire process.

She made sure Daisy received plenty of soothing praise, pets, and treats, and she never rushed us. Daisy was fully sedated before the final injection, allowing her to pass peacefully and comfortably.

Instead of the stress of loading a large dog into a car when she could barely walk, Daisy was able to lie in her favorite spot, surrounded by familiar smells and the people who loved her most.

The veterinarian even suggested that Carlos, Daisy's son, come inside afterward so he could see and smell his mother rather than returning to an empty house and wondering where she had gone.

Daisy looked as though she was simply sleeping, and Carlos seemed calm and at peace. That brought me comfort, knowing he wasn't distressed or searching for her.

I also want to thank all of you for the beautiful messages, kind words, and love you shared on Daisy's last video.

It truly made a difference. 🩷

Matted coats are more than “just tangled fur,” especially on senior dogs.

Underneath that neglected coat can be tight pulling on the skin, trapped moisture, sores, bruising, restricted movement, and pain with every step.

Older dogs already carry stiffness, arthritis, weaker skin, and exhaustion more heavily, so grooming them takes patience, compassion, and careful handling.
Sometimes senior dogs come in scared, uncomfortable, and carrying months or years of neglect in their coat.

The goal is never perfection — it’s relief.

Giving them comfort again. Helping them feel lighter, cleaner, cooler, and able to move without painful mats tugging at their body.

Senior grooming appointments often require slowing down, reading body language, working around limitations, and putting expert animal handling and groundedness to the test.
