UPDATED CLOSURE DATES!
My 2025 autumn break has been extended. I will now be closed September 26-October 9.

I have been a very busy bee this month thanks to all my wonderful Grit City Kittiers! Thank you deeply for sharing all your amazing kitty family members with me. I am a very lucky woman!

Happy Father’s Day to everyone who has filled that role!

My resident trouble-makers, Streets and Nephew, have asked that I close my July pet-sitting schedule for new reservations. If you are already on my schedule, I look forward to hanging out with your babies! But I am at capacity for anything new.

I do have a scattering of availability for boarding, but space is filling up quickly!

Sun’s out, tongues out, folx! This summer is heating up and so are my reservations. I’m fully booked through the end of June and the rest of the summer is filling in quickly.

I always try to leave openings for my regulars and existing clients, but even those slots have been booking up fast. Remember to get your reservation in early! I feel awful having to say no.

As always, THANK YOU SO MUCH for trusting me with your kitties’ care. I am living the dream because of you. 😻

It’s Spring Break at Grit City Kitty! I’ll be back open on May 22nd!

Here is a very small sample of the babies I have cared for since my winter break. I have received so many compliments on the photos I share with you, if you would like to purchase a Grit City Kitty calendar for 2026, let me know. I’m work-shopping some ideas.

My remaining closures for 2025 are:
August 6-13
September 30-October 9

I have set my breaks for 2026 as well, and they are as follows:
January 16-25, 2026
June 7-14, 2026
August 5-12, 2026
October 2-11, 2026
There will be a short closure in March as well, dates TBD. I will keep you all updated of course!

Thank you to all my new, current, former, and future clients for making my dreams come true and sharing your beautiful, hilarious, and sweet kitty family members with me! It has been, and continues to be, an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to help so many people and animals along the way. It takes a whole community, and the Grit City Kitty community is as good as it gets!

Nephew would like to remind everyone that his mommy needs a break every now and then. Grit City Kitty will be closed January 31-February 9 for some much needed R & R.

Happy 2025 friends! 2024 was my third year creating a life that brings me joy and purpose with Grit City Kitty!

186 different kitties stayed in my home-based hotel and most of them were repeat visitors.

I cared for 127 kitties in their own homes, and most of them are repeat clients as well!

Also in my 2024 rotation was 1 dog, 1 bunny, 1 hedgehog, and 9 chickens!

In my personal life, my resident cat family grew by two with the addition of Streets and Nephew.

Pictured here are the animals I spent the most time with in 2024. Luna, Yuri & Mav, Khaleesi, Murphy, Bagheera, Maple, Hank, Dennis, Varley, Daisy, and Sybil.

Going through my 2024 calendar to tally everything up, I could picture in my mind each and every kitty and their human(s). I cherish the connections I’ve made with my community through cats and am looking forward to growing, learning, and loving with you all in 2025.

Stay tuned for some exciting changes in the next few weeks. I will keep you all posted!
