We interrupt our regularly scheduled ferret programming with a developing story…

Earlier today, the Ferret Council gathered behind closed doors for what was described as a “highly confidential and extremely important meeting.” Unfortunately for them… the paparazzi had other plans. 👀

A highly suspicious individual managed to infiltrate the meeting and secretly capture exclusive footage. We have obtained that footage.

🕵️‍♀️ THE PAPARAZZI INFILTRATED THE MEETING.

Remember that VERY IMPORTANT Ferret Council meeting we told you about? Today they resumed discussions and...

Somehow, an undercover member of the ferret paparazzi managed to sneak into the Ferret Council meeting at WFRS and SECRETLY VIDEO what happened behind closed doors. 🎥🐾

There was:
🐾 Intense pacing
🐾 Suspicious sniffing
🐾 Several heated squeaks
🐾 At least one ferret with her mouth open the entire time!!

We don't speak ferret, so we had to ask Gonzo to translate, but judging by the footage…THE COUNCIL WAS NOT PLEASED. 😳

Was someone demanding answers?
Was someone calling for more Lupron sponsors?
Was there a motion to increase the treat budget?

🎥🐾 We have the footage.

And because the Ferret Council has apparently lost all control of its press department…WE'RE GOING TO SHOW YOU WHAT THE PAPARAZZI CAUGHT.

🚨 UPDATE FROM THE FERRET COUNCIL! 🚨

Things have officially escalated. 😂🐾

We still have NO IDEA what they are discussing, but the volume has increased, several ferrets have changed seats, and there appears to be a very heated debate happening in the tunnel section between Macy and No 'Kay. Could they be planning to overthrow leadership? 👀

Sprocket is reportedly feeling pretty confident now that he has a sponsor… but the other 27 unsponsored ferrets are NOT backing down.

One council member was overheard yelling something that sounded suspiciously like:

“Where’s our Lupron!?” 😳

We are monitoring the situation closely.

🚨 EMERGENCY FERRET COUNCIL MEETING CALLED! 🚨

📣 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE BIG PEN!

But there are 27 ferrets who still don't have one. And apparently… the Ferret Council is very concerned for their winter coats 🐾

We have no idea what they are debating because, unfortunately, we don't speak ferret. 🤷‍♀️😂

But we can tell you this:

🔊 There is a LOT of chatter.
🐾 There is pacing.
👀 There are some very serious looks being exchanged.
💨 And there may have been at least one unauthorized zoomie through the middle of the meeting.

We suspect the agenda includes:

"How do we get every ferret the Lupron they need?"

And honestly… we think that's a pretty important agenda item. ❤️

So stay tuned! We'll be monitoring the situation and bringing you updates from the Ferret Council as they become available.

💔 Today, WFRS is grieving the loss of a very special little soul💔

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of Julian.

Julian wasn't just a special ferret to WFRS. Julian was Vondelle McLaughlin's personal ferret. He was a beloved member of her family and he held a very special place in her heart. But Julian had a way of making himself everyone's ferret, too.

He was beautiful, sweet, friendly, and absolutely unforgettable. And Julian had a few tricks that made him uniquely… well, Julian🎹

When he wanted attention, he knew exactly how to get it. He played the piano. Because apparently, asking politely wasn't nearly as effective as putting on a little concert.

And then there were his kisses 💋

Julian gave kisses to everyone as though they were an old friend he had known his entire life. He didn't need time to warm up to you. He welcomed everyone who walked up to the desk with love.

His passing has sent a tremendous ripple of grief throughout the WFRS community. We all loved him, laughed at his antics, and were lucky enough to receive one of those precious kisses.

BUT today, our hearts especially go out to our dear friend Vondelle McLaughlin, who has lost not only her ferret but her "reason", her family, and a very special piece of her heart so unexpectedly 💔

Julian's little life may have been measured in the handful of months he was with her, but the love he gave her was immeasurable. His music may have stopped, but the love he left behind will continue to echo through WFRS forever.

It's Shelter Saturday!!!

Today Kevin Farlee and Vondelle McLaughlin dropped a fresh layer of bark in front of the building and pulled all the weeds. Thunderstorms didn't scare them away ⛈️. It looks great!! Shelter ambassador No 'Kay supervised 😉
