A year ago today, a litter of puppies were born in our building to a wonderful rescue dog who has long since found a home. Much to our delight, five of those puppies found homes with clients so we get to see them every week! And today is their birthday! Here's some birthday fun. Happy Birthday babies!!!! Our investment has certainly been rewarded with unlimited love. More pictures coming!

Meet Kiri - Athletic, Intelligent, and Eager to Please
Kiri is a 5 year old all American mix who is ready to graduate from her foster home. She is looking for a calm and confident pack leader who can take her on daily walks, play with balls, and let her roll around in the grass. She is a very sweet dog who is house trained and can be trusted when left alone in the house.

Kiri is incredibly smart and athletic. She can be high energy and would be thrilled to play with a ball or tug toy all day long! Challenging Kiri with mental games and continued training will tire her out more quickly (15 minutes of thinking = a 50 mile run). Left to her own agenda, Kiri will communicate with "piranha chomps" and short barks. These joy-filled demands are non-threatening, simply showcasing her impatience, and can be quickly corrected once Kiri learns that quiet and calm behavior are expected before getting what she wants. Kiri knows almost 20 basic commands and would really enjoy continued learning with her pack leader. She is motivated by balls, verbal praise, food puzzles and has the potential to excel at sports like agility and nose work.

Kiri loves all people, including men and kids. Her high prey drive requires slow introductions to animals with plenty of space and Kiri would prefer to be the only pet in the home (the reason she was surrendered). With regular and slow introductions, she could potentially live with a well socialized dog in a calm environment..

Kiri adapted quickly to the foster home's routine where her regular jobs include alerting for strangers, incorporating play into everyday activities, and attacking houseflies. She settles well in the house when needed - mirroring the energy of her pack - generally a lovely companion.

Sassy from the first day we met, Rosie was a special kind of girl. Today, she crossed the rainbow bridge with the best kind of day, surrounded by her family- as it should be.

We got to know Rosie when we started walking her and her sister Kira regularly. Then the girls got to come hang out with us during daycare. I'm so grateful we all got to be a small piece of her long, wonderful life.

This is definitely the hardest part of the job but it means so much to me that we get to play a role in their lives.

Dog Daycare has become a popular thing for our beloved pups. But we discovered something was missing in traditional daycare and boarding places that we hoped was a niche we could fill. Our goal is to offer a home like environment for special dogs that need a little extra. Not necessarily a place to socialize with other dogs. (although there is plenty of that as well!) We offer a place where your elderly or special needs dogs can have human companionship and supervision with all of the comforts of home. We have privacy suites where dogs can have their own space but can still see and hear and be seen and heard by our volunteers. And couch and cuddle time is always available!

We offer limited medical boarding and daycare for dogs who have special requirements. We can also offer a safe environment for dogs who are not particularly dog or stranger friendly. It is generally a stress free environment for dogs with social anxiety or separation anxiety as well.
