Anything with a mouth WILL bite in the wrong situation, myself included.

Children should never be allowed to climb on a dog.

Dogs should never be forced to interact with anyone, especially when there is no escape.

Everyone, regardless of species, should be allowed to communicate their boundaries.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked to help rehome a dog after they bit a child. I cannot help with that. What I can help with is teaching appropriate communication and boundaries to keep this from happening.

Things don’t always go to plan.
This young boy got the zoomies (frenetic random activity period) as soon as he came out of the fence for a potty break. Since my shoulder is not fully healed, I clip the leashes to my treat belt. Well, it snapped!
For the record, I do not recommend attaching your dog to your body.
Sharing for your amusement, as well as a great example of not panicking if you drop the leash!

Do you know how to help your pet in an emergency? 🚨🆘‼️

This is my bed. I don’t know how many chocolates were left in this box. It was in a room with the door closed. I had just opened the door and turned to grab my water when I heard a strange sound.
Dasher is currently on steroids and one of the side effects is that he is constantly starving. At 12 years old, I’m having to hide things as if he’s a 6 month old puppy!

Thankfully, all Notre Dog Academy staff are trained in pet first aid and CPR so I knew to get my premature syringe and brand new bottle of hydrogen peroxide to make him vomit.

Did you know Macadamia nuts are toxic to dogs?

Comment below and tell me if you have a pet first aid kit or not and we will give you some resources! Human kits don’t count- only some of it works for both species!

Do you have any dog supplies you don’t use? Leashes, collars, beds, mats, clothing, toys -even broken ones!
We always save working squeakers when a toy gets worn out, either to replace in another toy or for training.

We will gladly take these off your hands!

We would like to choose a music streaming service to pay for. The disembodied voices in ads tend to startle the dogs (and us, sometimes).

The Ethical Pet Care Alliance will be an organization that will inspect the businesses that apply to join us and verify that they are being ethical, honest, and always working to improve. Our goal is to help educate and improve all pet professionals in our community and be a place that you can always trust to find you a responsible professional that meets your needs.

We would love you to spread the news! Please tell your veterinarians, trainers, boarding facilities, etc. so we can grow!

My first one is: whenever you get something with a detachable power supply, put a label on it immediately!

This has dramatically reduced the contents of our random cords bin!

Happy 5th day of Christmas! Did your expectations of the holidays with your dog go as planned? Holidays are times when humans act really weird, bring strange objects into the house, and make new, and odd rules that don't make sense to their pets.
