Congratulations to our recent rehab graduate, Sundance!
Sundance has been receiving care from our rehabilitation practitioner for quite some time as we conservatively manage his cruciate ligament injury. Due to other health concerns, surgery wasn't the best option for him.
While surgery is considered the gold standard and the only way to fully stabilize a cruciate tear, it isn't the only possible path forward. With the right rehabilitation plan, commitment, and realistic expectations, many pets can continue to enjoy a happy, active, and comfortable life.
Conservative management requires patience, dedication, teamwork, and time. The goal is to improve strength, mobility, stability, and comfort while slowing the progression of secondary changes, allowing our patients to live their best lives.
Sundance's owner has shown incredible dedication, attending his rehabilitation sessions at Stack and consistently following his home exercise program. This commitment has made a significant difference in his progress.
Working with Sundance has been a true joy, and witnessing his progress has been incredibly rewarding. We extend our gratitude to his family for trusting us to be part of his journey and for putting in the hard work every step of the way.
Every patient is unique, and while conservative management isn’t suitable for every pet, it serves as a wonderful reminder that when surgery isn't an option, rehabilitation can still make a meaningful difference.
