So much fun running the Bosque Ranch booth and helping at The Run For A Million last week !!

Mill Creek Equestrian’s hunter riders had a really good weekend showing at the Back To School show at the Bulloch County Ag Center. This was a good opportunity for riders new to our program to get out and start showing, as well as our more seasoned riders an opportunity to get out & jump around in a new place. Lots of successful rides.

EPA Rian (Bryce) found his calling as a leadline pony with carrying Greyson to her first blue ribbon & later McKayla showed patience of a saint helping him work through his fear of the far side of the arena during her first division (totally out of character for him) and then resulting in a win in the hack & reserve overall of her second division. Bryce is always the entertainer but never has he entertained us quite like this…

Abby was most certainly challenged in the full flat classes navigating all the jumps and riders on the largest horse at the show but she did an awesome job. Only her second hunter show and she had lots of good ribbons with 2 red ribbons over fences!

Trudi was a blast to show with. So much experience & good horsemanship made it easy for her to trade in her dressage & ranch saddles to show hunters with us. Only 4 h/j lessons prior to the show and she was smiling & confident in all of her classes. She even took Kalvin in the Hunter Hack! Lots of good ribbons & a second in the Performance class.

Kaylie & Odessa were a highlight for is all. Kaylie has put all the time and energy in riding most days of the week & building a relationship with this cool mare. The ribbons she won were the reward for all that determination. Champion in one division and Reserve in the other. Nice Job!

Alison & Doughnut joined us for one last class as Alison is retiring from showing and going back to riding just for the pleasure of it. She has been so successful showing Doughnut and Kalvin & has many ribbons as reward for those efforts. This last class was a challenge and the largest class she has shown in.
