Another awesome long weekend in Conyers with H.J. Fox! They always are so welcoming and make horse showing a great experience for our clients.

Lots of great moments this weekend. Excellent ribbons for all but many important lessons learned. Horse showing should reward horse & riders strengths while exposing weak areas to work on. This weekend was a perfect example of that! Everyone left with beautiful representations if their hardwork and a list of goals to accomplish before they show again.

Electric Codette “Ellie” - 12 yo sorrel AQHA mare by the great Electric Code (NRHA Million Dollar Sire, LTE $215,000, 2008 NRHA Intermediate Futurity Champion, 2010 AQHA Open Reining Congress Champion) out of a Watch Joe Jack mare.

After a 10 year hiatus from being ridden while off having world class babies, the videos are during a 30 day refresher with Blake Chesnut. This mare has shown potential to go in many directions. Ellie has been absolutely fearless in her training and taken to roping and trail courses with ease. She is started on the flag and tracking cattle. She is quick footed, agile, and super gritty and would excel as a play day or ranch horse. Take her and ride her now, breed her later.

Congratulations to the handful of Mill Creek Equestrians english riders that attended the Bulloch County Horseman’s Association’s March show yesterday. They had a good time hanging out and watching Mill Creeks western riders do their thing then showing in the equitation and english pleasure classes. They all had good rides with great ribbons. It’s always fun to get out and do something fun close to home with the Mill Creek family - good day of schooling for both horses and riders!

Now that Blake & Audra are all settled in at the farm, we are excited to announce we have 2 training stalls available for outside horses starting in March.

Blake is a money earner in AQHA, NRCHA, and NCHA, ARHA World Champion and AQHA VRH World Show Top 5 Finisher. He has been training for for more than 20 years.

Our training program gives a solid foundation to take your equine partner any direction you want to go! Our program is unique in that your horse will get arena time, trail riding, and cow work. Blake has had colts go on to be successful in cutting, ranch horse versatility, reined cow horse, roping, barrel racing, trail riding, and even hunter jumper events.

Also offering tune-ups so you and your horse can get out and enjoy the beautiful spring weather!

Training spots are generally available month to month and include full board. Show spots are extremely limited.

Now that we’re over our horse show hangover and everything is unpacked and put away. We can share our usual full recap post from last weekend! Congratulations to Kyra Smeller on her two studs success at the Georgia Ranch Horse Association this weekend!
Malachi was the JR High Point Grand Champion. Docs Dual Dun "Dually" was the JR High Point Reserve Champion, both trained and shown by our resident trainer Blake Chesnut. 🙌🏻🏆🎉

This victory was just a little sweeter as Blake and Dually wore all pink Sunday to celebrate owner, Kyra's, last chemo of her breast cancer treatment this last week. We are so thankful for Kyra and her continued trust in our program. You got this pretty lady!💪🏼🎀
