WE’RE UP TO OUR EYEBALLS IN KITTENS WITH EYEBALL PROBLEMS.
Last week's theme was severe eye problems.
🩷Oracle is tiny and fragile, fighting an upper respiratory infection. Her eyes are severely damaged and will eventually need to be removed, but right now she’s too small and sick for surgery. For now, she needs round-the-clock care to get strong enough for what comes next.
💚Glinda & Elphaba are sisters born with severely malformed, almost nonexistent eyelids. They will need a specialist evaluation to determine whether reconstructive surgery could give them a chance at saving their eyes. 👇There’s a video of these two sweet girls navigating their world in the comments.
🧡Scotch was found outside during a thunderstorm, treading water with one eye catastrophically injured. His eye needs to be removed, but he isn’t healthy or big enough for surgery yet.
Four kittens. Four very uncertain futures.
And the truth is, we need some help...
Our cages are full. Our foster homes are full. Our plates are full. But when they need us, we try to make room. We’ll keep doing our best for them, but our best takes resources. These babies need veterinary care, medications, surgery and supportive care. And they’re only four of the animals currently counting on us.
If you can help, please consider making a donation to the Humane Society of Statesboro & Bulloch County. Every dollar helps us say yes when the next one needs us.

These kittens may never have their eyesight, our goal is to get them healthy and strong enough to live long, happy lives!🐾
