🐾 Gentle Giant in Need of a Loving Home 🐾
Dante is approximately 4 years old, a reformed street cat with a heart as big as his cheeks. 💗With his soulful, sad eyes, he tells a story of resilience and a longing for love. Despite his tough beginnings, Dante has transformed into the ultimate cuddle buddy, soaking up affection like a sponge. However, our sweet boy is not thriving in the shelter environment, and it breaks our hearts to see him overlooked for the past 3 months while his spirit is fading. Every day, Dante gazes longingly outside, dreaming of a peaceful home where he can relax and be adored. He’s a big baby at heart, loving nothing more than wet food, treats, and a comfy bed to rest his head. It’s hard to believe that no one has shown interest in this gentle soul.

💓Get to know Willie Nelson: The Handsome and Sweet Gentleman💓
Willie is a stunning orange long-haired cat with a kind and gentle demeanor. At around 10 years old, he had spent most of his life outdoors after being part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program.
Sometimes, when an outdoor cat has depended on survival instincts and is brought inside, they finally feel safe enough to relax and allow their body to catch up. And sometimes, their bodies are worn out.❤️‍🩹 Upon welcoming Willie Nelson into the Humane Society, we discovered that he has heart disease and is FIV positive.😔 While this isn’t the news we had hoped for our handsome friend, we are reaching out to someone out there who will love him regardless.
🌟We believe there is someone who feels that Willie’s golden years deserve to be filled with love and comfort. Someone whose heart aches for the overlooked and vulnerable. If you resonate with Willie Nelson’s story and feel a connection to him, please reach out. 🐾💗The decision is made! Let's officially welcome Sunshine, Tink, Macaroni (Mac), Tootles, and Nibs to the Humane Society Family🥰. Thank you to everyone who participated in the naming process and contributed donations. Your support means so much, and we can't wait to see these adorable kittens grow and thrive. Keep an eye out for them at upcoming adoption events in the next couple of months. 💗
✨✨In the meantime, if you're eager to welcome a cat into your home, join us this Saturday at Petco in Statesboro. It's a perfect opportunity to find a furry companion and make a difference in a cat's life. We hope to see you there!

Last weekend, we welcomed four precious kittens and their amazing mom, and now we need your help to name them! With the whirlwind of daily chaos, our creative naming juices have run dry 🫨. So, we’re reaching out to this incredible animal-loving community for assistance. For just a $5 donation, you’ll have the opportunity to name one of these adorable furballs or their lovely mom. That’s $25 for the entire family! Not only is this a fun way to contribute, but it also supports a noble cause by helping us provide them with the best start in life. 🥹
Here’s how it works: Make your donation via one of the options listed below, then comment with your suggested name for one (or all) of the kittens, indicating their number (1, 2, 3, 4) or Mom.
Be sure to mention which platform you’re donating on. At the end of the fundraiser, we’ll randomly select a name for each kitten, and those winning suggestions will become their official names while in our care! All proceeds will go toward essential vet care and supplies. NAMES WILL BE SELECTED WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4TH.
