Mike Cummings Hampshires We raise Hampshires, Southdowns and crossbred show lambs in western Washington. We run 20 Hampshire ewes, 10 Southdown ewes and 12 crossbred ewes.

In 2019 we add AI to our program and increased the number of ewes we AI’d this fall from 10 to 30.

Kaydence and Peyton had quite the week of the Evergreen State Fair!
EYLS each was Reserve champion in their respective weight classes!
In FFA Kaydence was senior champion for showmanship with Peyton showing up to the senior class coming in 3rd in the same class.
Kaydence had Champion Hampshire ram and champion and reserve Hampshire ewes, she had Champion crossbred ram.
She had Supreme Champion ewe on her Hampshire ewe lamb, overall young flock with her Hampshires and reserve supreme ram on her Crossbred ram lamb.
Peyton had brought 9 Southdown sheep he had Champion and Reserve Ram and ewe, his spring ram lamb was Supreme Champion Ram and his yearling ewe was Reserve Supreme Champion ewe and his young flock was 2nd overall. He also had the Champion and reserve Champion crossbred ewes!

Well the kids had quite the day!
Kaydence was Reserve Champion in fitting and showing in the Senior class, her Hampshire ewe lamb was Champion Hampshire ewe and Champion Overall Meat ewe, her Crossbred ewe was Champion as well as Reserve Champion Overall Meat ewe.
Peyton won the Intermediate Champion in Fitting and Showing and was Reserve Grand Champion in Fitting and Showing, his highest placing so far! His Southdown was Champion Ewe while his Crossbred was Reserve Champion Crossbred Ewe.
Congratulations to Joseph Romano for his 3rd place Market Lamb and Nathan Towns on his 5th place Market Lamb!

Peyton with PCS 2502 sired by RSC “Dirty Little Secret” and out of a Crego “Protest This” daughter, she was Champion Southdown ewe at the Northwest Junior Sheep Expo. Her twin brother was the Champion Southdown and Reserve Supreme Champion ram!

Well no pictures of the show or backdrop pictures, but Kaydence and Peyton showed a few lambs in Moses Lake at the Northwest Junior Sheep Expo. They placed 2nd in the Crossbred fall ewe lamb class, 3rd & 4th place Hampshire ewe lambs and the Southdowns were Champion Ram and Ewe with Peyton’s ram being Reserve Supreme Champion ram.

It’s been 5 years since Peyton’s goofy white sheep showed up, and they have made an impact! We’d like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone that has helped get this project rolling!
Stay tuned for pictures and information about our keeper ram lamb and in October when we can expect our lambs to be “Even Better”.

Peyton Cummings had the Reserve Grand Champion Lamb @ PSJS&S his lamb was the middle weight class Champion. Peyton was also the Junior Champion in Showmanship.
His lamb was sired by RSC Break the Bank.

Kaydence and Peyton had a great day at the Puget Sound Junior Livestock Show and Sale, in FFA. Both of them won their weight classes and their Showmanship classes. Peyt had reserve champion market lamb. Kaydence was the Champion market lamb.
