**It's National Veterinary Technician Week — and we are *so* lucky.** 💙

Today’s spotlight is an amazing veterinary technician - Anna, LVT 🐶🐱🩺

Our vet techs are the heartbeat of this hospital. They're the calm hands on a scared patient, the sharp eyes catching the detail that changes a diagnosis, and the steady energy that keeps the whole team moving on the busiest days.

They draw the blood, place the catheters on the first try, monitor the anesthesia, run the labs, soothe the nervous pups, charm the grumpy cats, educate our clients, and somehow still have a smile (and usually a snack) to share with the rest of us.

Behind every great patient outcome is a tech who made it happen — often before we even asked.

To our incredible team: thank you for your skill, your compassion, your humor, and the good energy you bring through the door every single shift. You make this practice what it is, and our patients (and their people) are better for it.

This week we're shining the spotlight on the heart of our hospital — our **veterinary technicians**.

Today’s spotlight is a fantastic veterinary technician - Valeria, LVT 🐱

You're the ones holding the leash, calming the nervous kitty, placing the catheter on the first try, catching the small thing that turns out to be the big thing, and somehow doing it all with a smile. Your attitude and compassion for every pet who walks (or is carried, or scoots, or hops) through our doors is what keeps this clinic running smoothly day in and day out.

You advocate for patients who can't speak for themselves. You comfort worried owners. You lift, scrub, restrain, monitor, dose, chart, teach, and troubleshoot — often all before lunch. And you do it with the kind of kindness that reminds all of us why we got into this field in the first place.

To our techs: **thank you.** We see you, we appreciate you, and this clinic simply wouldn't be the clinic without you. 🐾

🐾 Clean teeth, take radiographs, and keep your pet calm when they're scared
🐾 Educate pet parents, triage emergencies, and comfort families on the hardest days
🐾 Advocate for every patient like it's their own

They do it all with skill, compassion, and a whole lot of heart — often behind the scenes, rarely with the credit they deserve.

This week, we're celebrating the licensed veterinary technicians who keep South Creek Animal Clinic running — and your pets safe, calm, and well cared for.

Today’s spotlight is our veterinary technician - Kelley, LVT!🩺🐶

Did you know? A Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) isn't just an assistant. They've completed:

✅ A 2–4 year accredited veterinary technology degree
✅ The VTNE — a rigorous national board exam
✅ State licensure, with ongoing continuing education every year to maintain it

They monitor anesthesia, run diagnostics, place IV catheters, assist in surgery, educate clients, and advocate for every patient that walks through our door. We couldn't do what we do without them.

🐾 **It's National Veterinary Technician Week — and we couldn't be prouder of our team! And so every day this week we will highlight one of our amazing team members and their dedication to veterinary medicine** 🐾

Today’s spotlight is our Lead Veterinary Technician, Ballie, LVT🩺

Behind every wagging tail and every purring patient at South Creek Animal Clinic is a Licensed Veterinary Technician making it all happen. They are the heartbeat of our hospital — and we want you to know just how much they do.

Our LVTs are highly trained medical professionals who complete years of specialized education and pass a rigorous national board exam. On any given day, they:

🩺 Monitor anesthesia during surgery and dental procedures
💉 Place IV catheters and administer medications
🔬 Run bloodwork, urinalysis, and in-house diagnostics
📸 Take and process radiographs and ultrasound images
🦷 Perform dental cleanings and digital dental x-rays
🚑 Triage emergencies and provide critical nursing care
🐕 Comfort scared patients and advocate for their pain management
📚 Educate pet parents on everything from nutrition to post-op care
❤️ Hold space with families during the hardest goodbyes

They do all of this with skill, compassion, and the kind of quiet dedication that often goes unseen. Veterinary medicine simply does not function without them.
