Who knew a toilet paper roll, a few craft supplies, and a whole lot of creativity could turn into such adorable masterpieces?! 🎨😂

🎉 It’s the FINAL DAY of Vet Tech Appreciation Week, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!! 🎉

This week, we challenged our AMAZING technicians to get creative with a little friendly competition! 🎨✂️

Their mission? Turn an ordinary TOILET PAPER ROLL into an animal masterpiece using ONLY the craft supplies we provided! 🧻🐷🦋🦚

And let me tell you… these techs understood the assignment!! 😂👏 Who knew we had so many talented artists hiding behind those scrubs?!

We think they ALL did an AMAZING job, but every competition needs a WINNER! 🏆

🐾💗 HAPPY VET TECH APPRECIATION WEEK! 💗🐾

At True Companion Animal Hospital, we know our veterinary technicians are the HEART of our hospital! 🩺🐶🐱

So, what exactly does a vet tech do? The better question might be… WHAT DON’T THEY DO?! 🤣

💉 Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments

🩸 Draw blood and run laboratory tests

🩻 Take X-rays and assist with ultrasounds

🦷 Perform dental cleanings and take dental X-rays

😷 Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgery

❤️ Provide nursing care to sick and hospitalized patients

🐾 Place IV catheters and administer fluids

🔬 Collect and examine laboratory samples

💊 Calculate medication dosages and prepare prescriptions

🐕 Comfort nervous patients and give LOTS of cuddles

📋 Educate pet parents and answer their questions

🚨 Jump into action during emergencies

💩 Clean up more bodily fluids than anyone should have to!

And somehow, they manage to do ALL of this while getting covered in fur, slobber, scratches, and the occasional mystery substance! 😂

Today we celebrated our AMAZING team in true True Companion fashion! 🎉

🏆 And a hilarious game that gave our team a whole new appreciation for why our patients aren’t exactly fans of the dreaded CONE OF SHAME! 🤣

Our kennel tech Brooklynn put those softball skills to WORK and took home the win by landing the most cotton balls in Mhylia’s cone of shame! 🥎🏆 Apparently, we’ve got a sharpshooter on our hands!

We laughed, we celebrated, and we may have gained a little sympathy for our four-legged patients who have to wear those cones! 😂🐾

To our incredible veterinary technicians and kennel team: THANK YOU! Thank you for your hard work, compassion, dedication, and for loving our patients like they’re your own. Our hospital simply couldn’t function without you!

Meet Dudley, affectionately known as “Dudders” by Dr. MacFarlane! ❤️

Dudley is one of our boarding regulars here at True Companion Animal Hospital, and he knows how to make himself right at home! His favorite activity? Soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the fresh air, and pretending he suddenly can’t hear us when it’s time to come back inside! ☀️🤣

We absolutely LOVE having this sweet boy stay with us, and judging by that face, we think he loves it here too! 🥰

Sweet Jackpot stopped by to see Dr. Ritchie for an ear recheck, and of course, he brought his emotional support duckie! 🦆💕 Because let’s be real… you can’t go to the doctor without your favorite stuffed animal!

We are thrilled to report that Jackpot’s ears are improving! 🎉 A HUGE shoutout to his amazing parents for following through with his care at home. Teamwork really does make the dream work! ❤️
