Those little treats can add up faster than you think!

Treats should complement a nutritionally balanced diet, not become a major source of daily calories. Keep portions small and remember that chews, table scraps, and training rewards all count toward your dog's daily intake.

Concerned about your pet's weight or nutrition? Call (281) 350-3730.

We can only imagine what this cat is thinking! Cats communicate a lot without saying a word. Their ears, eyes, whiskers, tail, posture, and vocalizations can all offer clues about how they’re feeling. Learning your cat’s normal body language can even help you notice subtle changes sooner. Questions? Call (281) 350-3730.

Pets can't tell us when something feels different, and some illnesses don't cause noticeable symptoms until they've progressed.

Routine bloodwork gives your veterinarian valuable information about organ function, blood cells, blood sugar, electrolytes, and other health indicators. Establishing normal baseline values can also make future changes easier to recognize.

Ask whether early detection testing is appropriate for your pet. Call (281) 350-3730.

Not every pet has the same disease exposure. A dog who regularly visits boarding facilities, dog parks, or hiking trails may have different vaccination needs than a pet with a very different routine.

That's why your pet's vaccination plan should consider their age, health, environment, travel, and everyday activities.

Let's talk about your pet's individual needs at their next visit. Call (281) 350-3730.

🐾 Wrapping Up Veterinary Professionals Appreciation Week! ❤️

As we close out this special week, we’re shining the spotlight on our amazing Veterinary Assistants! 🐶🐱

These peeps are such an important part of our team! They work behind the scenes, taking care of the little details that make a BIG difference and help set our patient care apart. 💕

I’m especially proud of this group as they all are pursuing futures in medicine and working toward their dreams! 🩺✨

To our assistants and our ENTIRE Enchanted Oaks team, THANK YOU for your dedication, compassion, and the heart you put into caring for our patients every single day! We appreciate you more than words can say! 🐾❤️

Pets can have some pretty unusual habits, and many are completely harmless personality quirks. However, a new or sudden behavior change can sometimes be associated with discomfort, stress, or illness. You know your pet’s normal better than anyone, so pay attention when something seems different. Call (281) 350-3730 with any concerns.

🐾❤️ Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! ❤️🐾

Behind every healthy pet, every wagging tail, every comforting cuddle, and every successful recovery is a team of dedicated veterinary professionals who give so much of themselves every single day.

Our technicians wear more hats than most people could ever imagine. They are nurses, anesthetists, dental hygienists, lab technicians, patient advocates, and problem-solvers.

But their job descriptions don’t stop there! They’re also…

🐅 Tiger Tamers
🐶 Dog Whisperers
💩 P**p Detectives
🤼 Professional Wrestlers
🦷 Tooth Fairies
🐈 Cat Wranglers
💉 Vein Hunters
🧺 Laundry Warriors
🧹 Mess Magicians
🐾 Pawdicure Specialists
🕵️ Foreign Object Investigators
❤️ Professional Cuddlers

And somehow, they manage to do it all with compassion, patience, and a sense of humor!

They celebrate the victories, comfort the scared, care for the sick, and stand beside families during some of their hardest moments. They work long hours, juggle endless responsibilities, and somehow still find the compassion to love every patient as if it were their own.

So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but none of it goes unnoticed.

To our incredible team at Enchanted Oaks, thank you for your dedication, your resilience, your teamwork, and most importantly, your hearts. You are the backbone of our hospital, and we couldn’t do what we do without you.

Today we recognize and celebrate YOU, but please know you are appreciated every single day! ❤️

🐾 Happy Vet Tech Week to the people who give their hands, hearts, and everything in between to the animals entrusted to our care!

You know your pet's normal behavior better than anyone. A sudden change in appetite, energy, breathing, mobility, bathroom habits, or personality deserves attention, especially when it persists or is accompanied by other symptoms.

You don't have to wait until your pet seems severely ill to ask for help.

If something doesn't seem right, call (281) 350-3730.

Sometimes gradual weight gain is hard to notice when you see your pet every day.

A healthy body condition involves more than the number on the scale. Your veterinarian can evaluate your pet's ribs, waist, body shape, muscle condition, age, and lifestyle to determine an appropriate weight range.

Wondering where your pet falls? Call (281) 350-3730 to schedule a wellness visit.
