Meet Lucy 🐾
Hi, I’m Lucy! I’m a sweet, affectionate girl around 3 – 4 years old who absolutely loves cuddling and soaking up belly rubs. I have a gentle heart and a playful side. I enjoy spending time playing in the yard, but I’m just as happy curling up for a nice nap afterward.
I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once I warm up, I become a loyal and loving companion. My foster mom says I’m very smart and have so much potential, I just need someone patient and experienced who’s willing to continue helping me learn and grow.
I’m currently working on my manners, especially not jumping and walking nicely on a leash, so I’d do best in a home without small children or individuals who may be unsteady on their feet. With consistency and training, I know I’ll keep improving!
I get along well with other dogs and really enjoy their company, and I’m also doing great living with a cat. I’d love a home with a big, fenced yard where I can run, play, and explore safely.
My ideal home:
✔ Experienced dog owner
✔ Large fenced yard
✔ Someone patient who will continue my training
✔ A home where I can build confidence and thrive

Henry Has Been Adopted!

After being rescued from a rural Florida shelter in October 2025, Henry’s journey to find the right home took a little extra time due to training challenges and a permanent paw injury. But the perfect family was worth the wait!!

Henry now has a loving mom, a soft grassy yard for his sensitive paw, and three furry siblings: a 9-month-old Labradoodle playmate, an older Retriever sister, and a kitty. His new mom is patient, committed to helping him continue to thrive, and already thinks he is perfect.

We’re so happy for Henry and confident he has found his perfect forever home. Wishing him a lifetime of love, adventures, and happiness! 🐾❤️

Meet Raven, a 1.5 yr old black Lab mix, 79 lbs, full of love, loyalty and personality. Raven is a happy fun-loving dog and shares his good nature with everyone. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to be part of a family. He wants to be close to his people.

Raven knows many commands including sit, stay, down, come and is a smart, obedient dog overall and wants to please his people. He is a young, strong dog so further leash training would be beneficial. Raven is an energetic boy who loves to run and play so would do very well in a home with a fenced in yard and an active family or owner that enjoys outside activities. He loves car rides, walks and toys. In the home you will find Raven quiet, gentle in movement and always snuggling by your side. He is gentle when getting treats and waits for his food to be placed - no jumping.

Raven gets along with other dogs (not sure about cats) but also would do fine as an only dog with a family that can give him plenty of companionship and exercise. He does like to be with his people and does experience separation anxiety so a home where someone is around more often and is willing to continue helping him build his confidence would be ideal. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, fun-loving companion with a big heart filled with love and personality Raven may be your match. Raven is being fostered in Palm Beach Gardens.

From shelter to safe and loved — it truly takes a village 💛🐾
Sweet Debbie Pup’s journey to her foster home was a true team effort by our amazing Sunshine State Labrador Rescue family!
Debbie found herself alone in a shelter all the way in Port St. Joe, FL, but thanks to a chain of dedicated volunteers, she’s now settling into a cozy foster home in Palm Harbor.
🚗 Lee with Help4Paws transported Debbie to Wildwood
🚗 SSLR volunteer Chris stepped up next to drive her to New Port Richey
🚗 Pat and Lewis completed the final leg of her freedom ride to foster care
And now Debbie is being spoiled with love by her wonderful foster family — Hanna, Tara, and Will — while she waits for her forever home. ❤️
Every mile driven, every door opened, and every foster home offered changes a dog’s life. THANK YOU to everyone who helped Debbie along the way!

Nala is a beautiful pup, on the small side, about a year old. She is shy and probably has not had much opportunity to live inside with a loving family. She has made excellent progress settling into her foster home and learning the routine. Nala is house trained, crate trained, dog friendly (cats unknown), and walks well on leash. She considers the crate her sanctuary and should be in the crate when no one is home. Nala needs time to meet and trust new people, but once she knows you, she welcomes belly rubs. Being young, Nala has moments of puppy energy that a couple of laps around the yard will satisfy and settles down quickly once she is back inside. She can also be mischievous and pick up things she shouldn’t have, but she’s smart and can be corrected easily. Nala does not yet know any commands, but is very food oriented and trainable.
Nala needs to go to a home with a fenced yard. She needs a family that is patient and will commit time to basic training. A person that’s home a lot and can give Nala attention will help her settle in and learn the rules. Another friendly dog in the house who can be a “big brother/big sister” would be helpful.
Nala is a very sweet soul and will be a loving family member. Nala is being fostered in Miami, visit SSLR.org to apply.
