We hit 63 for this TNR pop up! 🐾

That's up to 500 kittens in one year prevented in just two days work-- and some much needed medical care given to 63 cats. Several much needed antibiotic injections, missing eyes looked at, neck wounds cared for, and everyone also got fixed, vaccines, and a flea treatment/dewormer 🔥

Now to get them all set back up at our trappers homes to recover for the night 😴

Last night I reweighed my little starving babies.

When they came in at four weeks old, they were only the size of a 3-day-old and a 6-day-old.
But last night — only day three with us — they’ve already climbed up to the weight of two-week-olds.

They’re fighting so hard.
They still worry me, though. When their bodies fall that far behind, it’s not just about weight. Organs can keep growing without the space they need, systems can start to shut down… and even with progress, they can still crash.
But we can't minimize the progress either, my hopes are a lot higher, even though we're still tube feeding. They struggle to understand latching and swallowing after going so long without food .. but they're making it. ❤️

Please help Calypso Cat and kitten Rescue Tampa Bay be able to take on this cat:

🚨 Meet Lumpy — and yeah… her name isn’t subtle.

She’s a tuxedo girl with a massive lump on her face that shouldn’t be there. We don’t know yet what it is.

Best case?
A severe abscess that needs to be opened, flushed, and treated — painful, but fixable.
Worst case?
Something more deeply attached in the tissue, possibly tumorous, requiring surgery and more intensive care.. but hopefully not necessary to euthanize her.

What we do know is the estimate:
$550 – $1500 depending on what we find when our vet can get hands on her.

And here’s the problem:
👉 If we can get this covered, we will take her on. No hesitation.
👉 If we can’t… she sits like this, untreated, while it gets worse, and she has no other options.

We are willing to step in for Lumpy. We just need the ability to say “yes” without putting the entire rescue under. Just in two days this week, we didn't get almost anything back in donations for the around $4000 we've spent at just the vet.

She’s still eating. Still looking at people. Still here, asking for help in the only way she can — by surviving something she shouldn’t have to.

If you can help — whether it’s $5 or sharing this post — it genuinely makes the difference between action and inaction for her.

Let’s not make her wait any longer, it's clearly putting pressure on her eye.

Today is goodbye.

Sometimes we are just here to be their support in the end. Elderly and FIV+, Sampson came to us because he was dumped and the home that found him did not want him to get hit by a car. He's spent three months with us, happy and healthy until recently. He developed pneumonia and after it's been resistant to treatment, he went into the vet today and we found that he has an aggressive form of cancer in his head.
We have to let him go.
He didn't have to suffer and starve as his body failed him out in the woods where we got him, instead he got three months of love and purred every time I looked at him.
I'd rather things like this happen with me. I'm glad he wasn't adopted, he got to stay safe instead of passed around, or break another's heart that would've had him just long enough to fall in love with him.

We love you Sampson. 🙃

If anyone can help, I'm personally paying his bills today and I'm having him cremated.

I wish he could've had more life to live.

Real rescues do not let babies be born - Real rescues do not watch moms die from birth and then allow the next litter to be born - Real rescues do not watch kittens come out disfigured, mutilated or already dead and then allow the next litter to be born - Rescue helps the lives that are already here!

We are drowning in kittens that are already alive.
We are struggling to find homes for kittens that are already alive.
We are buried in medical bills for cats that are already suffering.

Why would we bring more in to a problem of millions?

There were so many fleas on the TNR cats that went in today that they needed an extra $80 in services.

If you can help cover this, it's really appreciated - it was so bad I had to order flea spray for my car for the first time ever.
