Paleface Veterinary Clinic

Paleface Veterinary Clinic Small and large animal mixed practice. We’re happy to introduce ourselves and share a little bit about our history, our philosophy and our staff.

Weekend hours: We are open 8-12pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month

Hello, and thank you for your interest in our hospital! And of course, we would love to hear from you! So if you have any questions, or if you’d rather just talk to us over the phone, give us a call at 512-264-1700. Our History:
Paleface Veterinary Clinic opened its doors in September 2003. Dr. Schuessler had a dream whil

e in veterinary school of one day opening a practice in his hometown of Spicewood, TX. He is proud to have started the first vet practice in Spicewood. The name Paleface was chosen due to the high numbers of Indians that once lived along the Pedernales River and from the famous local rancher named Malcolm Levi (founder of the Red Brangus cattle breed), who had white faced Hereford Cattle on his property which is currently Paleface Ranch Estates today in Spicewood. Our Philosophy:
Our approach to Veterinary care is in the words of our motto,
“We give our best and do our best, every pet, every time”.

Come on out to the 134th Annual Spicewood Homecoming BBQ!

The Spicewood BBQ has been celebrated since 1892 to celebrate the ending of the school year at the old Spicewood Schoolhouse. It's continued today to reminisce about the old Spicewood days and to experience good fellowship with all current Spicewood residents.

Brisket, chicken, and sausage will be served. Attendees who are able are asked to bring a small covered side dish to contribute and share.

The event is Saturday, June 13th from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Spicewood Community Center. All are welcome. Meal is by donation.

If you have any questions about the event, please call Paleface Veterinary Clinic and ask to speak to Dr. Matt Schuessler.
