Just a reminder from Five Star Veterinary Center while you're all decking the halls, making merry, and eating all those delicious holiday treats: don't feed them to your dogs and cats! There are many sweets and eats that are not good for our furkids - downright toxic in some cases. Best to give them their own treats made especially for them than risk their health over the holiday where many vet clinics - including our own - will be closed until the day after the holiday. As happens every January, our vendors will raise our prices, which means we'll be raising prices as well to meet those costs. Take advantage of the lower costs in the last 2 weeks of December and book appointment or refill your pets' medications!

Traveling this holiday season? Make sure your pet is ready! Pack their essentials, update tags or microchips, and keep their routine as normal as possible.

This winter when you're planning your donations for shelters, don't forget blankets, bedding, beds, and towels to donate to your local ANIMAL shelters. Dogs and cats waiting for their furever homes get cold sleeping in those metal kennels or on concrete.
