Happy Earth Day 🌎

A gentle reminder from Mother Nature herself: the flowers are blooming, the grass is growing… and the ticks have unfortunately also RSVP’d.

If your dog comes inside looking like they rolled through half of Owen County, now is the time to start thinking about tick prevention.

Some people don’t just groom dogs. They become part of the story of an entire community.

For years, Fawn cared for the dogs of Spencer with so much patience, kindness, and love. She has comforted nervous puppies, worked magic on muddy farm dogs, loved the seniors, and somehow convinced more than a few dramatic dogs that nail trims were not, in fact, the end of the world.

Due to a career-ending injury, Fawn is stepping away from grooming.

Fawn shared:

“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I announce the end of my grooming career. Unfortunately, I have sustained a career ending injury. I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued love and support throughout the years. Your trust in me has meant more than words can express. You've handed me your most vulnerable, voiceless babies. That is an honor I will never forget. All of my love, thanks and well wishes to you.”

The 4 stages of a groom:

Before: “I’m just a tiny woodland creature.”
Bath: mildly suspicious.
Drying: absolutely convinced this is a personal attack.
After: “You may address me as Sir Fluffington.”

We love every stage, honestly.

Because underneath the wet dog smell, the wild eyebrows, the doodle tangles, and the dramatic side-eye… they’re all still very good dogs trying their best. And maybe a little overdue for a spa day.

Apparently the cure for “my dog is driving me a little bit insane” is… more dogs. 😂

Our play date last Saturday was packed and so sweet. Dogs played, people relaxed, everybody went home a little happier and a lot more tired.

No judgment if your dog is clingy, wild, awkward, overly enthusiastic, or convinced every other dog is either their soulmate or their mortal enemy. We love them anyway.

If your pup could use some safe, supervised dog time, come join us next Saturday. Your couch cushions will thank you.

🐾Love dogs (even the wiggly, muddy, dramatic ones)
🐾Have Saturday & Sunday availability. Weekday availability is a big plus!

🐾Don’t mind getting wet, hairy, and occasionally covered in mystery slobber
🐾Are kind, dependable, and willing to learn

This is not just “playing with puppies.” It is hard work, fast-paced, messy, and incredibly rewarding.

Keller’s K-9s is expanding our team and looking for a reliable, animal-loving Bather to join our grooming department!

🔹 Position: Dog Bather
🔹 Hours: MUST have Saturday & Sunday availability
Weekday availability is a big plus!
🔹 Pay: starting at $10/hr, with increases based on experience

We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has reliable transportation
✔ Can lift large dogs safely
✔ Is comfortable handling dogs of all sizes
✔ Is okay with cleaning up pet waste
✔ Can help keep grooming areas clean and organized
✔ Loves working with animals and wants to learn
