Need a working-line German Shepherd? We're here for you!
Our GSDs are meticulously chosen, health-tested, provided an environment of engagement distinct for the breed, and involved in frequent training exercises for both physical and mental stimulation. Past pups have become law enforcement K9s, SAR/HRD, protection dogs, trailing dogs, detection dogs. Mentally sound, physically fit, balanced, and devoted...just like a true GSD should be.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship from one of our past clients, Hemi - a shelter dog, is receiving obedience training with us at Conifer Canine!
Hemi is AVAILABLE for adoption! Hemi is an older dog who enjoys being a couch potato, yet also responds well to his on-leash obedience training. He's spent most of his life in the shelter and we would love to see someone adopt this sweet boy to make his last years the best!
- 8 years old
- Pit/Lab mix
- Hemi is not suited for a home with children
- Hemi has a sweet, gentle temperament when he has gained your trust. He is cautious of some people though, so an individual committed to gaining Hemi's trust is needed.
- The ideal owner needs to also be committed to maintaining Hemi's obedience and behavior training. We will have a free lesson at our facility available for Hemi's adopter so they can learn what Hemi has been taught and how to maintain his training!

Yes, it's June and yes, you do see a pup with a Christmas cap ;) No, your eyes aren't playing tricks through all the summer humidity!
We just wanted to make you aware of an upcoming event later this year...the Conifer Christmas Cup! This will be a working dog competition that focuses upon obedience, agility, and tactical soundness. It is open to police K9/security units and working dog enthusiasts. It is to be held at our Training Center, unless the Cup outgrows it. The specifics are still being worked out but SAVE THE DATE... 11/22/25! More info in the link:

Become knowledgeable about your desired breed...BEFORE acquiring the dog. If you can recognize your breed's distinctives, it will help you better understand, train, and live with it. Trying to force a Malinois to be Golden Retriever (or vice versa) will be very frustrating (for both you and the dog)!

Say hello to Cinder!
She’s 10 weeks old, full of wiggles, and just started her biggest adventure yet — becoming a service dog!

Melody’s taking the lead on her training, and let’s be honest… it’s going to be a wild (and adorable) ride. We’re talking puppy mischief, “oops” moments, first tries, big wins, and all the behind-the-scenes of what it really takes to raise a working dog.

We’ll be posting regular updates, reels, and stories — so if you love cute pups and cool transformations, you’re in the right place.

Follow along and watch this little firecracker grow into something amazing.
(But first, probably a nap.) 😉

Confident, stable German Shepherd breeding. We aim to breed for the overall good of the breed, not merely focusing upon just one or two characteristics. Furthermore, that concept is not just for the current generation but thinking ahead for future generations of genetically capable, healthy, trustworthy GSDs.

Conifer Canine

What began as a hobby has turned into a professional training venue. With nearly 30 years of experience, our trainers work with the dog, not against him. We employ reward-based training. Our experience has saved many dogs from being euthanized as well as helped families form better, positive relationships with the dog.

We offer training for basic and advanced obedience, protection dog training, police dog training, detection dogs, human remains detection dogs, as well as service dog training. All of this is completed by certified trainers.

We also offer a school for dog trainers, where dog trainers are trained.
