We try to make the most of sunny days... 💛

Weeble & Wobble were born at the shelter and will be celebrating their 2nd birthday with us next week. Maybe we will throw a little party for them... 😻🎉 What they would really love is the gift of a furever home!
We are not sure if they have ever been outside before! Wobble was movin' and groovin' all over in the soft grass, showing lots of confidence and curiosity. If he had a moment of doubt, he'd quickly run back into Erika's Lap of Safety. Weeble had lots to say and was a fan of sniffing all of the vegetation. She was poofed up strutting her stuff and then realized sunbathing was pretty awesome and she could chillax.

Grace is not up for adoption because she has a fast growing tumor in her face. She's eating, enjoys having visitors to her hospice room, and is loving some outdoor time with the sun on her fur. We are doing our best to provide her with extra love and care during her final months. We welcome you to come visit her as well! 🖤

She hates pants and she loves Churus!
We'd like to reintroduce Esmeralda...
She's going on 11, she is a great greeter in the senior room, she lives for wet food and Churu treats, her sister is also with us (check out Eleanor!), she's gorgeous and soft, she is talkative, and she does lick excessively so we always ask her where her pants are. 😆
Come meet her and our other seniors next time you're in! We have a senior adoption price, as well as a Senior for Senior program we would love to chat with you about.

Holy cat litter!
HUGE "thank you" to Tom and Sheilagh with Joe Dirt Septic & Drain, LLC for picking up two pallets of cat litter and even helping us unload it! We were all too sweaty for a group photo so here's a photo of our stock pile. Who knew one could be so happy for something as simple as litter... 😆

Lilac is currently being fostered!

Lilac would do great with someone(s) in their mid-20s into their 40s. She's a sweet girl that is not thriving at our shelter. She does get along with most other dogs, would probably chase a cat, and has not been too keen on children or older folks.

This sweet girl has some anxiety and although she is eating well, she's burning calories running back and forth all day. So, we think a foster might be the best option for her (or better yet - an adoption!). If you are interested in fostering, we have a foster application you can pick up at the shelter after meeting her. Adoption applications are also available in the shelter or online. Here's some info about her:

No kids or large/high-energy dogs.

This lady came to us on April 7th, 2026. She is a good girl that is just a bit particular - she’s not a big fan of men or high-energy dogs. We hope to get her more comfortable with men while she is with us. Lilac has been to doggy daycare in Rapid at Meadowridge Pet Lodge. She has separation anxiety and can be a bit destructive when left home alone. She does well with cats and smaller, calm dogs. She is not a fan of children. Lilac weighs around 50 lbs.

Update 6.17.26 - it's feral. Yes, also a bit scared. We will plan to spay/neuter and get rabies vaccination and ear notch on the 24th. If you have a barn/shop home and you need a mouser, shoot us a FB message or email us at [email protected].

Trapped on Apple Valley at about 8:30am today (6/5/26). Could be feral, could just be terrified. Unknown gender. Larger kitty.

Our dogs enjoyed the homemade treats they received! Thank you to the kind woman that donated them. They were all excited so we didn't capture photos of each one getting a goody. 😅

Update 6.16.26 *Elmer was adopted!*
Anddd... Elmer is now available for adoption! His rabies shot is scheduled for our next vet run on the 24th (but we will try to swing him in sooner) and we can get him up-to-date on his other vaccinations in-house. You can read more about him on our website.

Litter was picked up! THANK YOU, Todd & Sheilagh!

Do we have volunteers that would be willing to pick up litter for us at the American Colloid plant in Colony (about 40 min from the shelter)? They kindly donate litter to us but we do not have a trailer to haul a pallet or two.

Shout out to our amazing team who helped sell 50/50 raffle tickets at tonight's Downtown Friday Nights! Erika and Crystal, your dedication to our animals is heartwarming and so very appreciated. ❤️ Nick, thank you for walking our adoptable dog, Gus, for the first part of the night before things got a little too loud for our furry friend. 😘 We'll comment with the amount raised soon!
