🦘 FUN FACT FRIDAY: WALLABIES! 🦘

Today we’re hopping into the world of wallabies! These adorable marsupials may look like miniature kangaroos, but they have some pretty interesting features of their own!

Here are 5 fun facts you might not know:

🌿 1. They’re from Australia!
Wallabies are native to Australia and nearby islands, where different species live in forests, grasslands, and rocky areas.

🦘 2. They’re related to kangaroos!
Wallabies and kangaroos belong to the same marsupial family. One of the biggest differences is that wallabies are generally smaller!

👶 3. Their babies are called joeys!
Just like kangaroos, female wallabies carry their tiny babies in a pouch. Joeys continue developing inside the pouch after they’re born.

💪 4. Those back legs are powerful!
Wallabies have strong hind legs that help them hop quickly and cover impressive distances.

🌙 5. Many are most active at dawn and dusk!
Wallabies often rest during the hottest parts of the day and become more active during the cooler morning and evening hours.

How amazing are these little hoppers?! 🥰 We love sharing all the unique animals that make Carousel Acres so special!

We had a great time visiting a school where the students are currently reading Black Beauty! We got to bring a horse along and talk about what goes into properly caring for one.

We covered everything from daily grooming and feeding to horse tack, why it’s important, and how to properly care for and maintain it. It was a fun opportunity to let the kids learn a little more about horses beyond the pages of their book!

Thank you for having us! We always love getting out into the community and sharing what we do at Carousel Acres. ❤️

There’s something special about the farm that makes it easy to step away from the busy everyday routine, relax, and just take it all in. Whether it’s the beautiful scenery, the animals, or simply enjoying a quiet moment outdoors, Carousel Acres is a place to make memories and enjoy the simple things in life.

🐾💛 Meet Murphy, our farm puppy!

Everyone meet Murphy, our 1-year-old Goldendoodle! If you’ve spent any time around the farm, there’s a good chance you’ve met this energetic ball of fluff! 😂

Murphy is FULL of energy, always ready to play, explore, and see what everyone is up to. But underneath all that puppy energy is the sweetest boy who loves being part of the farm family. 🥰

He keeps us on our toes, makes us laugh, and brings so much extra love and excitement to the farm. We wouldn’t have it any other way!

We sure love our Murphy! 🐶💛
