Looking for a unique new addition to your freshwater tank? Check out the Mexican Dwarf Crayfish!

Native to Mexico and the southern U.S., these small, hardy crayfish are great for planted tanks. They’re peaceful, active explorers, and even eat leftover food and waste. While they get along with many tankmates, they may occasionally nip at snails, shrimp, or very small fish. Give them plenty of hiding spots, especially during molting!

Our Wabi-Kusa Workshop with the Chicago Aquatic Plant Society was a plant-tastic time! Here’s a sneak peek at what we created.🌿

Attendees learned how to create their very own wabi-kusa setups — from building the substrate ball to planting and learning maintenance tips. Everyone went home with a stunning creation, complete with a glass enclosure, hardscape, and gravel!

We had a great time getting creative with the aquascaping community, and we’re so grateful to everyone who made it a special night!
