PSA: Summer errands and outings are more fun with our pets—but sometimes, bringing them along can put them at risk.

Even if it feels mild outside, the inside of a parked car heats up quickly. Pets can’t regulate heat the way we do, and they can overheat fast, even with cracked windows.

If pets can’t come inside with you, it’s safer to:

• Leave them at home in the comfortable temps
• Bring someone who can wait with them & keep them safe
• Plan for pet-safe stops only
