Dr. Amsberry and Dr. Berg from the Sisters Veterinary Clinic recently participated in a career day for local kindergarteners. The veterinarians engaged the young students with an educational presentation about work in animal care. We aren't sure who had more fun, the doctors or the kids.

Did you know that Giardia is a zoonotic parasite? This means it can be transmitted from pets to humans. While the risk of direct transmission from dogs or cats to healthy adults is generally low, the parasite is highly contagious within households and common environments.

At our clinic, we diagnose multiple cases of Giardia every week. The good news? Detection is simple. A routine stool (f***l) test allows us to identify this microscopic organism and start treatment quickly.

We will be closing at 2pm on Wednesday, 11/26 and all day on Thursday, 11/27 to allow our staff time with loved ones. We will be back in the office at 8am, Friday 11/28.
