Holy Moly, the jackpot for finding the Queen of Hearts💕 has grown to $51,530, and the doxies at Dakota Dachshund Rescue are asking for your help. They’re hoping that with your participation, the reward might reach $54,000 or even higher, making it almost certain their Queen will be found. We’re so grateful for our community’s support and enthusiasm over the years—your involvement truly makes a difference for the dogs we rescue.

How can you help them? Buy a ticket or several tickets for the drawing next Tuesday, June 30, at Remedy Brewing Company, located at 401 E 8th St in the 8th and Railroad Center. Despite road construction on 8th Street, reaching Remedy Brewing Company remains easy, and you won’t be disappointed when you arrive. Tickets can be purchased until 7:00 pm that evening, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet foster dogs, enjoy great handcrafted beer, and explore a menu filled with delicious food. At 7:11 pm, one lucky ticket will be drawn to see if the elusive Queen of Hearts can be found. If she is, the person whose ticket is drawn will split a jackpot that could be over $54,000—meaning someone could win more than $27,000!

If you can’t make it to Remedy or live out of town, no problem—since you don’t have to be present to win, tickets can be purchased online at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/dakotadachshundrescue/event/findthequeenofhearts2025/. Tickets are $5 each, and you can save money by purchasing bundles: 5 tickets for $20, 15 tickets for $50, and 35 tickets for $100.

Fred! Fred! Fred!
Thanks so very much to all of Fred's prayer warriors and supporters! Without fundraising we couldn't help these complex little ones.

DDR's little Fred is feeling great! He's a real boy now 🤗
He is hell on wheels 🔥🔥 and sooooo happy to be back in his cart.
Fred has healed nicely and he is back in Sioux Falls at his foster mom's.
A huge DDR "Thank You from the bottom of our hearts!" to everyone that has been a Fred supporter from his first transporter to Sioux Falls, to his foster mom's, to our amazing veterinarian's in SF that first diagnosed Fred was in trouble, to the first transporters and amazing vet tech that met him on arrival and rushed him to Veterinary Medical Center ER in St Pau where he met his amazing Cardiology team that saved his lifel......whoa, that's a lot for an 8 week old puppy!
But it didn't stop there.....heart fixed but then appendage problems, so back to VMC we went, transporters, short term foster homes , amazing stuff at VMC Surgery, amazing post op short term foster mom, and then again a transport that involved three vehicles meeting to get Fred and bring him back to his SF foster mom!
This little guy will turn 10 months old August 26th!
We will have to plan a birthday party for Fred so everyone can meet him ❤️🐾🐾

The 4th of July is right around the corner!

For many of us, fireworks mean celebration. For our pets, they can mean fear, anxiety, and panic.

Now is the time to start preparing! Don't wait until the fireworks are already booming overhead. Many calming supplements work best when started days or even weeks before the holiday.

Wow, the dachshunds asked and you really delivered. You almost hit $50,000 for the week 33 drawing. The jackpot ended up at $49,682 Thank you all so much for all of the support for Dakota Dachshund Rescue.

The Queen of Hearts was not found in the week 33 drawing. The second Joker was found and earned the winning ticket holder a $100 bonus from Daktoa Dachshund Rescue to go with the $235 that is 10% of the week's ticket sales.

The Queen of Hearts has now been missing for 34 weeks. For week 34, the jackpot starts at $49,447. The jackpot for week 34 will be over $50,000 for the next drawing on Tuesday, June 23 at Remedy Brewing Company, located in the 8th and Railroad Center.

At 7:11 p.m., one ticket will be drawn. If that ticket reveals the Queen of Hearts, the person who bought it will win over $25,000. The dachshunds will be at Remedy ready to meet you, and Remedy offers great craft beer and a good menu, making it a fun way to support a great cause.

You can buy tickets in person at Remedy until 7:00 p.m. the night of the drawing. If you can’t join the dachshunds at Remedy, you can still help and maybe win a big reward by buying tickets online until 3:30 p.m. on the day of the drawing. Tickets are $5 each. Bundle options are $20 for 5 tickets, $50 for 15 tickets, and $100 for 35 tickets — giving you 35 chances to find the Queen of Hearts.

When was the last time you saved a life?
Foster homes are desperately needed by all the local rescue as well as the SF Humane Society need foster homes, not just for for dogs and puppies, so many cats and kitten also!

At the heart of every rescue are the foster homes that care for the dogs❤️
We are drowning in requests for dogs to come into Dakota Dachshund Rescue but we are short on foster homes!
The SF Humane Society is at capacity 💔 DDR has daily requests to take dogs from owners, HS, breeders. If we don't have open foster homes we can't bring dogs in 💔 If you are in the Sioux Falls area and have considered fostering, now is the time to chat with Dakota Dachshund Rescue or any of the other rescues in the SF area!
