🎳 STRIKE! What a Night! 🎳

Last week, our amazing team traded in our scrubs for bowling shoes and hit the lanes for an evening of fun, laughter, and a few (okay… many) gutter balls — all thanks to the Dechra Spectra Contest! 🐾💥

We’re incredibly grateful to Dechra for giving us the chance to unwind, bond, and show off our questionable bowling skills (turns out, we treat pets better than we bowl… but we sure brought the energy!). From team cheers to friendly rivalries and more nachos than we’d like to admit, the night was a STRIKE of success!

💙 Moments like these remind us that while we work hard caring for your furry family members, we also know how to have a tail-wagging good time together. Thank you, Dechra, for helping us celebrate the team spirit that makes our hospital so special.

🐾🐶 Special Guest Alert! (And a surprise sidekick!) 🐉💛

Some of the awesome kids at the Low Vision Rehabilitation Center recently invited Dr. Ford, our favorite local vet, to come in and chat about one of their favorite topics—taking care of their seeing eye dogs and pets! 🐕‍🦺❤️

Dr. Ford came ready with great advice on how to keep our furry friends happy and healthy—everything from grooming tips and feeding tricks to knowing when your dog might not be feeling their best. But the real surprise?

👉 She brought along her scaly best friend, Chowder the bearded dragon! 🦎✨

Chowder totally stole the show. The kids got to learn how reptiles are cared for too, and even got to meet him up close (he was a total pro at posing for photos 🐉📸).

The questions from the kids were incredible—thoughtful, funny, and super smart! It turned into a fun, hands-on session full of learning, laughs, and lots of tail-wagging energy.

Huge thanks to Dr. Ford (and Chowder!) for making the day extra special—and to their amazing kids for putting this all together. You all rocked it! 🎉🐾

🐾 Hi, I'm Lake – and I'm Looking for a Home! 🐾
They call me Lake, and I was found wandering the Springlake/University Terrace area until a really kind lady scooped me up and helped me out. She took me to the vet, where I got a rabies shot, a full checkup, and a heartworm test (negative!). The doctor thinks I’m about 7 months old, and they say I’m a pit bull mix—whatever that means! I just know I’m a professional cuddle bug looking for the perfect couch to call my own. 🐶❤️

✨ A little about me:
– I love napping in garden bushes and playing outside
– I made a new friend at the vet—a cool German Shepherd!
– I’m super friendly and love meeting new people (and apparently dogs too!)
– Not sure how I feel about cats yet... haven’t met one!
I’m just a sweet, playful pup with lots of love to give. If you're looking for a loyal companion to keep you company on the couch, in the yard, or just around the house, I might be your new best friend.
