🐾 We recently took some time to look back through years of records, intake logs, adoption files, TNR records, and case notes.
To be honest, the numbers surprised us.
Since beginning our TNR efforts in 2019 and growing into the rescue we are today, Small Town Shelter has served approximately:
🐶 350+ dogs
Including strays, owner surrenders, dog control cases, adoptions, foster placements, transfers, and reunifications.
🐱 2,000+ cats and kittens
Including TNR cats, kittens, strays, owner surrenders, medical cases, adoptions, foster placements, and barn cat placements.
🐰 Several other animals
Including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, wildlife, birds, and other small animals that found their way to us when there was nowhere else to turn.
🐾 More than 2,500 animals served.
Each number represents a life. A scared stray. A litter of kittens. An injured animal. A pet whose family needed help. An animal that simply needed someone to care.
As we work through renovations and prepare for the next chapter of Small Town Shelter, these numbers remind us how much has been accomplished thanks to this community.
Every volunteer hour, every donation, every foster home, every transport, every adoption, and every share made a difference.
Together, we’ve helped more than 2,500 animals—and we’re not done yet. ❤️
