It’s been busy with youth sports and the beginning of the school season but we have still been crafting as usual!

We also will be at the craft show in North East PA located in Parkside Assisted Living from 12-4pm on 11/2!

We love being invited to this craft show! It allows us to interact with members of the community that don’t get the chance to venture out and enjoy events like this very often- so the staff brings it to them ❤️
It’s open to the community- stop down and see me!
Everything from freeze dried candy, super soft crochet items, bath and body, sewing and quilting, local artists and more!

I am so thankful for our homestead/craft community.
I am even more thankful for our educators that guide our children into their futures.
One of our own is fighting a battle that has taken her out of the classroom for the foreseeable future- she needs our support.

It’s that time of year-
4th grade at PCS is Blue for their Track and Field Day!!
So of course we had to make something fun for our boy to wear to represent his class!

They say time goes by in the blink of an eye.
To hold onto the small moments because you’re going to miss them.

It’s a little hard to believe that our oldest is at the end of her Freshman year.

Coaching and playing in the powder puff games the next few days.

We try to take on the last minute crafts for the kids because they are only young once, they only have these moments… once. They should get all the things and do all the things 🧡🖤🧡

I was recently asked why I didn’t choose to use Lye in my soap making… and steer clear of cold press soaps.

Lye is a dangerous chemical to work with. We have small children and many small animals in our home that would not do well with the fumes during the process.

While it’s great to be able to play with recipes a little more, it is also super easy to fail on a batch- a lot of additives will throw off the PH on your bar of Cold Press Soap. It takes at minimum 4-6weeks to cure.

While cold press allows you a little more ability to “get fancy” with your designs per loaf, I think we do pretty good with our Goat Milk Melt and Pours.

It is said that cold press bars last longer in the shower.
We individually wrap each of our bars to ensure they are not only the most sanitary, but so they don’t become effected by outside factors.
If you use one of our soap saver bags I promise our bar will last weeks.

As always, research what each crafters process is. Make sure they are handling their ingredients safely and correctly during the process 💚.

Earlier we got to put our logo on a race car that Simple Cuts Pet Grooming is sponsoring.
If you need to have any work done on your vehicle and you are not taking to the Hammond’s at Panama Auto Center… you’re making a huge mistake!
Then after baseball practice and some ice cream we came home to work on some other local small business marketing items!
Serenity Salon and Spa is THE place to get yourself pampered!
Also- peep our first Runner Duckling that hatched out this evening! How freaking cute!!!

We are busy constantly.
If we are not at our day jobs than we are tending the farm, crafting, or running for kiddos sporting events.

We don’t just make soaps, and farm goods. We also play around with our custom shirts and apparel( we make decals too) using HTV or Permanent Vinyl.
