🐾 Now Hiring: Pet Care Specialist : Opening and Closing Shifts🐾

Our Pet Care Specialists are responsible for the safety, comfort, and cleanliness of every dog in our care from the moment they arrive until the moment they go home.

Yes, you’ll spend time with dogs throughout your shift. You’ll help keep them happy, engaged, clean, and safe. But just as importantly, you’ll clean accidents as they happen and maintain a clean, sanitary play environment throughout the day. At the end of each shift, you’ll thoroughly clean and disinfect the play area and tub room so they’re safe and ready for the next day’s guests. A spotless environment isn’t just about appearances—it’s one of the most important ways we protect the health and well-being of every dog in our care.

We’re looking for someone who:
🐶 Is dependable and shows up when they’re scheduled.
✨ Takes pride in a job well done.
🧼 Understands that cleanliness is part of excellent pet care.
💪 Doesn’t mind physical work and staying busy.
🐾 Can work independently while always putting the dogs first.

There comes a point in many dogs’ lives when grooming starts to look a little different.

As our senior friends age, they often develop arthritis, heart disease, decreased stamina, hearing or vision loss, cognitive changes, or simply become more anxious about the grooming process. Standing for long periods becomes harder. Holding certain positions can become painful. What they handled with ease for years may suddenly become too much.

This is when we sometimes recommend what’s known as a Comfort Cut.

A comfort cut isn’t about creating the perfect haircut. It isn’t about breed-standard styling or making every hair lay perfectly. It’s about meeting your dog where they are today.

Sometimes that means leaving a little unevenness because asking them to stand longer isn’t fair. Sometimes it means a shorter trim that’s easier to maintain. Sometimes it means stopping before the groom is “perfect” because your dog’s body has told us they’ve had enough.

And sometimes it means having a conversation about changing how many weeks go by between grooms. Spacing out appointments for an aging dog sometimes is the best thing you can do for them. Coming in between for walk-in nail trims or other walk-in maintenance care is always advised because long nails to a senior is not fun nor kind to their already aching bodies.

These conversations are never taken lightly.

Every recommendation we make is based on one question:

“What is safest and kindest for this dog?”

At Kuts n Kisses, your dog’s health and safety will always come before the haircut. If we ever recommend a comfort cut or suggest changing your grooming schedule, please know it’s because we care deeply about your dog and want to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy through every stage of life.
