What's YOUR pet's favorite word?

Follow our main page Veterinary Wellness Partners for more content!

We all know our pets have a favorite word… or at least a word that gets an immediate reaction

What’s a word or phrase your pet definitely understands?

🐾 “Treat”
🐾 “Walk”
🐾 “Bye-bye”
🐾 “Dinner”
🐾 “Vet”
🐾 “No” …even if they choose to ignore it 😅

Tell us your pet’s trigger word in the comments! Bonus points if you share the hilarious reaction that comes with it

Poison Prevention Week: Hidden Dangers in Your Home

Many everyday household items can be dangerous — even life-threatening — to our pets. During Poison Prevention Week, we want to help you spot the common hazards that could be lurking right under your nose.

Common Pet Toxins in the Home:
• Human medications (ibuprofen, acetaminophen, antidepressants)
• Chocolate, xylitol (found in sugar-free gum/candy), and grapes/raisins
• Household cleaners and disinfectants
• Essential oils and liquid potpourri
• Rodent bait and insecticides
• Certain plants (like lilies for cats and sago palms for dogs)
• Ma*****na products (edibles are a frequent culprit)

Remember: Pets are curious by nature. What seems safely out of reach may not be!

Prevention Tips:
• Store medications and chemicals in closed cabinets
• Keep food items well out of reach
• Check houseplants for pet safety
• Clean up spills promptly
• Use pet-safe products whenever possible

If you think your pet has gotten into something toxic:
Call us right away or contact ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435.

A little prevention goes a long way in helping to keep your furry family members safe! 💙🐶🐱

Even though World Spay Day was last month, here's a little reminder to spay and neuter your pets!

Follow our main page, Veterinary Wellness Partners for more content!

At least three million adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized in the U.S. each year because they don’t have homes — numbers largely attributable to unplanned litters that could have been prevented by spaying or neutering.

Spaying and neutering can also reduce the incidence of some of the most common types of cat and dog cancers.

It's never too late to spay or neuter your pet!
