EIA ELECTIONS*********
Dear Elmhurst residents,
Per our community by-laws, officers of the EIA shall be elected by ballot annually in the month of November and will assume office on January 1, 2026 and serve for a period of one year. This brings us to important business for the next EIA General Meeting scheduled for Nov. 18, 2025 @ 7pm. At this meeting we will conduct the annual election for officers of the EIA.
The officers of the EIA shall consist of a President, Vice President, a Secretary, a Treasurer and three Directors. We are currently accepting nominations from the community for all positions. We currently have the following positions filled for the current year and the presiding officers all have agreed to run for re-election: President - Debbie Clinton, Vice-President - Mike Huddleston and Treasurer - Dave Nibeck and Penny Courtney - Director. This leaves the open positions in need of being filled: Secretary and two Director positions.
We are asking for volunteers to fill these positions or if there are nominees that seek the positions that are currently filled, these nominations will also be added to the ballot for the upcoming election that will take place at the November General Meeting.
If anyone has questions or would like more information or the job description for a specific position, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Without help, we will be unable to keep the EIA operating and unable to continue to provide the wonderful benefits the community enjoys as a result of the EIA.
Please send nominations to: [email protected] no later than Nov. 10th, 2025. All nominees will be presented to the community through email and FaceBook in preparation for the November 18th election at least one week prior to the general meeting.
The EIA General Meeting will be held on Tuesday Nov. 18 @ 7pm. Meeting location: Heritage Community Church, 8146 Quarterfield Road, Severn, MD 21144. The meeting will take place in room 238. The meeting and election will be available virtually as well.
Sincerely,
Debbie Clinton, President
