**Little sweet update- Big Momma is going to be staying right here with us to be loved on by a lesson student***
The great ones deserve to retire.
Today we celebrate Big Momma as she officially retires at 17 years old after an incredible career and life of service.
Momma raced 37 times, earned over $200,000, and found success at both Aqueduct and Belmont. After her racing days, she went on to become an amazing broodmare, producing seven babies, and later a trusted lesson horse who helped riders from 4 years old to 60 years old build confidence, skills, and memories in the saddle.
She has worn many hats throughout her life and excelled in every one of them.
Now it's Momma's turn to relax. She will be retiring to the fields where she can spend her days grazing, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying a well-earned retirement.
We would consider the possibility of an off-site lease or adoption for the right person. Any potential home must clearly understand that Momma is **not a riding horse** and will be placed strictly as a beloved pasture companion.
