Clearing up confusion from last night.
Operation Healthy Pets (OHP) has weekly clinics in Waterloo at the former Beverly Animal Shelter. OHP rents the surgery room. OHP is a low cost S/N program that is partnered with Shelter Outreach Services (SOS) out of Ithaca.
FOR A S/N APPOINTMENT YOU MUST REGISTER ON THE WEBSITE, ISSUE PAYMENT AND TEXT THE SCHEDULER.
Included in the cost are: rabies vaccine, Distemper booster, a microchip if you want one and S/N. THERE IS NOT A REDUCED COST FOR PETS ALREADY VACCINATED. Proof of rabies is required if they are current on this vaccine. Failure to provide proof will result in the pet receiving another vaccine as this is a NYS requirement.
Feral cat post is for Yates County Humane Society. YOU trap, transport to Yates County and the cost per feral cat is $50. They don’t post clinics; apply on website for TNR.
If OHP S/Ns feral cats the cost is the same as a domestic cat; female $120 and male $100.
Female dog and cat spots were not included because they are booked. If you register, send payment and text the scheduler, you will receive the next available spot.
