💔We are just devastated to share that our sweet boy, DAVE, is once again an orphan, hoping for a miracle as what we thought was his forever home, was not meant to be!💔
💔After two weeks, this boy, who has had trauma after trauma, been uprooted and displaced numerous times, was deemed not a good fit! 💔In your lifetime, have you ever felt alone, scared; that you didn’t seem to matter, or that people you loved, shared your heart with, gave up on you for no reason other than they didn’t understand what you were going through?💔 That is what DAVE has been feeling over and over, since May 2024! 💔
💔 But he can’t process his big feelings like humans, he is trying to communicate with his behaviors because he doesn’t feel safe! He is trying to tell you what he needs but no one has listened! He doesn’t have anxiety, nor did he need to be medicated! His foster parents, who recently took him back in, are listening.🙏
❤️ DAVE needs a calm home with a regular routine, a family with patience but who likes to have fun!🤩 A home that can balance activity with rest, willing to give DAVE the space he needs to be…DAVE. He needs play time, mental enrichment and structure every single day. ❤️🙏🐾
❤️DAVE can live as your one and only but gets along well with CATS and perhaps one low key, mellow pup 🐶 , like his foster sister, Mama! But even at his harmonious foster home, DAVE is given his space away from her, after time together!❤️❤️
🐾A fenced yard so he can run and play and not have to be walked, at first! After weeks in foster, he happily walks great on his leash but at first, he needs his world to be small! The world is scary to him because humans made it that way! He needs to learn to trust, build confidence and believe that his family will protect him so he doesn’t have to protect himself!❤️🙏😞
💔This all doesn’t seem to be that difficult, 😣 his foster family see more of the DAVE he wants to be every day! He doesn’t have a mean bone in his 70lb, adorable, chubby body; he isn’t reactive, afraid of thunder but the vacuum cleaner is his nemesis! He is very potty trained and LOVES his crate! 🙏Please if you don’t believe in crate training, he is not for you!🙏
🙏If you have ever been traumatized, made to feel like you aren’t worthy, then you know how amazing you feel, how you thrive, when someone believes in you! Please be that for DAVE! In a few weeks, he will have nowhere to go…again!💔💔
