Project PUP-Pets Uplifting People

Project PUP-Pets Uplifting People Since 1984, Project PUP has been certifying pets for work as therapy animals for visits to schools, libraries, assisted living facilities and hospitals.

PUP stands for "Pets Uplifting People." The group is a nonprofit charity of about 400 volunteers. Most of the visiting pets are dogs, but there are a few friendly cats, and now and then a rabbit or even a ferret.

-Screenings are held at the Palm Garden of Pinellas-200 16th Avenue, SE, Largo for prospective PUP animals on the 2nd Saturday of odd-numbered months. Upcoming dates are: March 11, 20

Registration is open for our upcoming class on Saturday, May 31st from 10:00 – 4:00. This is a 5-hour PetTech CPR and First Aid. We will be limited to a maximum of 15 students in the class. It is a great class and is extremely interactive with a lot of good content. Please do not bring your pups to the class as we will provide some stuffed canines to practice and learn on. The cost is $100 per person. Parking details to be provided post registration, but there will be free parking and a light lunch provided. Registration is not complete without full payment.
