Sarge was a man who never sugar-coated a thing—not life, not people, and certainly not his jokes. His humor was sharp, unapologetic, and often the exact truth we didn’t know we needed to hear. He had a gift for cutting straight to the point, sometimes a little too straight, but always with a wit that left us laughing even as we pretended to be offended.
Behind all that sarcasm was a heart that cared deeply. He told the truth because he believed honesty connected us, and he made us laugh because he believed joy carried us. He never wasted a moment pretending to be anyone but himself, and in doing that, he gave us permission to be real, too.
We’ll miss his fearless humor, his clarity, and the way he could dismantle a bad day with one perfectly timed, brutally honest punchline. His voice was one of a kind, and though he’s taken his final bow, the echoes of his honesty and humor will stay with us—reminding us to laugh, to tell the truth, and to never hold back who we are.
