Rocky is a 6 year old, 80-pound Malamute mix who is ready for his forever home! He is neutered and fully vetted. Rocky is a sweet boy who is eager to please! He enjoys training and knows some commands, including "sit" and "down." He is full of energy, loves to play, yet is also affectionate and loves snuggle time.

He is very exuberant and loves to meet people. Rocky needs an experienced dog owner; someone with knowledge of the Malamute or Husky breed would be beneficial. He would love a family that is very active so he can go on runs, hikes and more.

Rocky has lived in two different homes with other dogs. While he gets along with most dogs, he has been competitive with another "alpha" male in one of the homes which has led to a few scuffles. He would likely do well with another dog of similar size that does not insist on being the "alpha." He can be too much for small dogs, as Rocky doesn’t always seem to be aware of his size. Rocky would be fine in a home where he is the only dog but still able to have socialization with other dogs. He may do well with one other dog in the home who is compatible energy-wise and will tolerate his playfulness.

We prefer a home without small children only because they could accidentally be knocked over. We are insisting on a home with no cats, as we have not observed him around kitties. A yard and a strong, very tall fence are an absolute must for this boy.
Overall, Rocky's foster parents have described him as very sweet and affectionate!

Nanook is an 5 month old, 35 lb awesome boy with so much potential!!!

He loves water and balls! Another of his favorite activities is playing with his best friend, Cindy. Nanook is very smart. He listens well, knows sit. Pretty good at stay and eager to learn.

We believe he would be an even better dog with a good trainer involved because of how smart he is and eager to learn. He would be great as a hiking buddy, a water adventure dog and/or take some type of fun classes.

We absolutely love this kid. He is a big goober and loves his humans and wants nothing more than to follow you, please you and be yours. We think he has a lot of Malamute in him and will be a big boy.

Just like most dogs he may dig here and there, but that's to be expected with any dog and should not deter you. Nanook free feeds and grazes through the day. He is coexisting in our home with 8 dogs and 1 cat. He typically leaves the cat alone. He is at an age that he is testing the others but is corrected fairly well.

Nanook is altered, pretty much house trained and ready to go to his new furever home.

Kit is an 8 month old, 60 lb Siberian Husky and Malamute mix that has been coming out of her shell more and more, and absolutely LOVES to play!

I can hardly go anywhere in the enclosure without Kit being underfoot. If I sit down with anything sticking out of my pockets; cell phone, wallet, work gloves, you name it, if she thinks she can possibly steal it, she’ll try her darndest to do exactly that. Not because she needs (or even really wants) the item she’s trying to steal. No, it’s because she gets an absolute thrill out of the ensuing chase to retrieve whatever she’s pilfered.

Despite all of the challenges she’s been through in her short life, Kit strives only to be the life of the party, and spreads her exuberance to the rest of the pack on a daily basis as if it’s her vocation.

Kit will need an energetic owner with a solid sense of humor who can keep up with her antics. She is loaded with personality and has earned the nickname "Squirrel Girl" because she's always up to something goofy!

She’s truly a joy to watch!

Abram "Abe" is a 75 lb, sweet 5 year old good-natured boy. He is a pack dog, much more comfortable around dogs than people. He walks well on leash [but like most dogs does pull when excited] however, when he sees other people while out on a walk, he becomes shy and hides behind his human. He has good recall with the people he trusts.

He’s good with polite dogs and gives appropriate boundaries to impolite ones. He loves car rides and adventures and is looking for a full time adventure buddy. This boy needs a forever home that will be patient with him until he bonds. He is house trained & currently living indoors full time. No food aggression with people or dogs. Abe is shy and it takes time to trust. Loves to hike in woods for a couple hours a day for exercise and rides well in the car. Northern-breed experience necessary, and no children, cats or little dogs please.

Our adoptable bonded pair, Dakota and Nicole, love attention and are super well-behaved! These pups are Ambassadog team experienced and ready! Here they are at an event at the University of Washington, Tacoma campus, hanging out and chillin’ with students and faculty. Huge thanks to our wonderous volunteer Sheila for transporting the girls from their foster home so they could wow the participants at the event!!

Our Ambassadog teams are comprised of Mal/Husky/Mal-mixes who attend events with their owners to help educate the public about the breed and provide “hands-on” experiences! If you have a pup who is chill with people and attention, comfortable or can be easily controlled around other dogs, we’d love to have you join our team!! The Event season is just getting started and we need Ambassadogs for events from north to south sound.

Big boy Buck has really been coming out of his shell! He’s still not completely confident around people, but is well on his way to reaching that point, and has maintained his gentle nature this whole time.

Buck is a gentle giant, approximately 2 years old, but don’t let his stoic looks fool you into thinking that’s all he is - he has a playful side, as well! His favorite past time is entertaining his pack mate, Kit, with games of tug-o-war or slappy-paws.

Buck’s got a certain regal air about him that must be felt to be fully comprehended. Like many of the Magnificent Seven, he gives off his own variety of “Main Character Energy.”

Buck, much like his namesake, is dynamic. He observes and adapts to his surroundings in a calm, relaxed manner, going with the flow, but at his own pace. The result is that he seems almost wise, while simultaneously enthusiastic in a childlike way. He will be available for adoption after May 1st.
