Seattle Tzu Ching Tzu Chi Collegiate Association (Tzu Ching) - Seattle Chapter

The Tzu Chi Collegiate Association at Seattle (Seattle & UW Tzu Ching) is the service-based collegiate organization that carries out the missions of the Tzu Chi Foundation. The Tzu Ching club provides an opportunity for volunteer work within the local area that is rewarding, meaningful, and manageable during one's busy college life. Events include homeless people shelter food and hygiene products

distribution, spending time with the elderly at convalescent homes, night market food fair, Tzu Ching book club, assisting in Tzu Chi's cultural programs, and many more! By providing and caring for our school and community, we seek to cultivate ourselves to become better individuals. After all, "Tzu Ching" is Chinese for "compassionate youth," and we believe that anyone can bring out the kindness and compassion in their heart. Students of any race and religion are all welcome to join our Tzu Ching family here at Seattle & UW!

Hello everyone! We have 10 days left before Veggie Fest, so remember to buy tickets!

At the vegetarian buffet, we will have catering from Kiki's Bakery, Tai Tung, and Cedars. Available for sale is milk tea from Young Tea at $5.

In addition to catering, there will be other food prepared in advance such as curry, green onion pancakes, spicy noodles, and more!

Remember all proceeds from Veggie Fest will go towards relief efforts for the Turkey-Syria earthquake--and to check out our website for more information! Everything is in our link tree, and we hope to see you there! ❤️

Important Announcement! Tzu Ching Seattle will be having a wheelcake fundraiser this next week. Please pre-order your WHEEL CAKES for pick up on 1/7!

Hey Ya’ll! A big welcome to all the freshmen who have decided to attend the UW! We are Tzu Ching Collegiate Association (TCCA), a service-based collegiate organization that aims to accomplish the missions of the Tzu Chi foundation through volunteer activities. We would like to invite everyone to join our orientation to have a better understanding of what TCCA is about while meeting new friends 🥰

Congrats to everyone for finishing another school year and a BIG congratulations to all the graduates! Though the pandemic has taken away some of the fun, it does not stop the club from growing with more new members joining us! It has been another year filled with memorable, fun, meaningful, and inspiring events that bond us together throughout the pandemic. Hopefully that all our members have had fun and found growth, and look forward to seeing everyone back in autumn for more exciting stuff! Stay tuned!

Hello, everyone! Last weekend, Tzu Ching participated in TSA’s night market, where volunteers organized exciting activities in honor of the Dragon Boat Festival, including an egg race and making scented sachets–bringing Chinese traditions to the event and introducing Seattle Tzu Ching to participants! 🐉

Thank you to all who stopped by to participate in our activities, and especially to all the volunteers that helped monitor and promote at our two booths–along with those who were still making sachets behind the scenes!! 🤩

With the last night market being over two years ago, last weekend was exciting for everyone involved–and we hope to continue seeing everyone again in the future!! 😊❤️

Thank you all for participating in our Udistrict street cleaning, as part of the 2022 Tzu Chi community weekend event!! Not only as a group we acknowledge the importance of environmental protection, but also we find joy in volunteering activities that produces modest impacts in our community. It's always heart-warming whenever people walk by us and say a simple "thank you", while we clean up the streets. We are happy to see many new faces during this event, and hope this event has inspired you to join us in the future!! (As always, we keep updates through our discord, emails, or social media pages.)
Special thanks to officers who put together this event, Angela SG for the supplies, and team leaders who supervised. As the season turns from winter to spring, the weather becomes unpredictable. Remember to stay warm, dry and healthy ❤️

Hi Everyone! We are back to kick off spring quarter with a street cleaning event as part of the Tzu Chi Annual Community Weekend! With Earth day coming up, this is a perfect time to come help out with cleaning the streets around UDistrict. This event will be on 4/9 from 2pm-4pm at the UDistrict link station.

Come meet new friends and help keep our Earth green and clean! The first 25 people to sign up will receive a free t-shirt!

On the 14th, Seattle Tzu Ching held a Valentine's day fundraiser to celebrate the day of romance, we sold red and pink stem roses, small packed chocolates, and handmade cards. 🌹❤️
Thanks to all our lovely volunteers who were so energetic during their shifts, despite the weather being mixed with rain, sun and cold wind! Special thanks to Kelly and Angela SG, who went to buy the roses early morning, and to everyone for dropping by to show support! We are excited that the proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards care packages for the houseless population, and helping people in our community. 🥰🥰

Thank you to everyone for supporting our wheel cake fundraiser, it was a huge success😆! Hope you all enjoyed the process of making them, despite all the chaos. We really appreciate all our volunteers for waking up early in the morning and staying for almost half of the day to prepare, make, and distribute wheel cakes. In total, we made more than 640 wheel cakes!! Please give yourself a round of applause and a pat on the back!! 🎉 👏 We hope you all have a fun and exciting, and hopefully warm, weekend~ Happy thanksgiving!! 🍁 💜 💜 💜

Thank you to those who came by our general meeting last Saturday. Hope you all enjoyed the warm delicious hot pot prepared by SG and some of the officers and members. 🍲
With the theme of gratitude in mind, we learned more about TC organization and wrote/decorated thank you letters to whom we feel grateful for. As a club, we are always thankful for the people who are involved, whether it is organizing/preparing different events, providing meaningful insights or participating at events, we sincerely thank you for that!!!
We will be having early morning🌤 wheel cake making/fundraiser this upcoming Saturday. Hope to see you guys there!!! 🥰

Hello everyone! For this holiday season, we are collecting winter jackets for homeless populations in the Seattle community. Even though we are not able to continue our regular hot meal and sanitary product distributions in-person amidst the pandemic, we are continuously finding new ways to give care for those in need in our community.

We are hosting TWO Coat Drive collections on UW campus for anyone who would like to donate: Tuesday, 11/23 and Tuesday, 11/30 from 12:30-3:30pm in front of HUB. Jackets in all sizes, used or new, and in good condition are welcome. Please fill out the Interest Form below if you would like to donate. Thank you again for helping us make a meaningful impact!
